Applying is how the majority of staffers got the job. I'd imagine it means a lot.But then you got the job instantly when the time was up.

Yeah. The point is though, the initial feeling of that sucks pretty bad. ._.;People just had to get used to you. But that's the case when you join new sections.

Others sorely want to keep hanging out, but find their friends feeling uncomfortable them purely due to having a spot on staff.
Personally, I feel lately it's more likely to be your friends not being willing to accept you. As people have a paranoia about staffers. =_=
My first day on the job kind of sucked admittedly. But it got better.
Most of my friends who became mods unfriended me...that's why I only have a few mod friends
You figure out ways to improve the forum as well. ^_^
I've done it on other sites. I find it enjoyable.
