The shoe brand is definitely "Nai-ki" or "Nai-key" or however you want to spell it. It comes from the name for the goddess of victory and is known as Victoria in Roman mythology. Unless everything I know is a lie, when an "e" appears in a Greek name you pronounce it like "ee" and when an "i" appears it's pronounced like "ai," as in Aphrodite, so Nike would follow a similar pattern. Someone please correct me if I'm just being an ignorant American. :p

No. In Greek, Aphrodite is a-fro-thi-ti. Nike the goddess is ni-ki. I dunno what Nike the shoe brand did with the name.
