Woot!

Transformers: Dark of the moon is on tv! Television premiere :)

I know what I'm gonna do tonight! :D
... I have trouble wrapping my brain around people getting excited to see this movie.
I haven't seen the third transformers yet.

Don't. It's bad. ._.

Apparently not as bad as the second... but if that's true I really don't want to see that one.

Sure, the plot is bad and sometimes annoying (my opinion! do not argue!), but the film itself is really awesome because of all the giant alien robots and stuff (again, imo. do not argue!)

My opinion... giant gruesomely and awkwardly animated robots having anticlimactic battles does not make up for an awful plot and dialogue.

I didn't have a problem with the plot itself, moreso the portrayal ...

I didn't have a problem with the animation or the fight scenes either (generally speaking), honestly. While I do prefer the "traditional" design style of Transformers, I get that they were trying to go with a "realistic" (lol realism in sci-fi) interpretation.

The fights in this movie happened way too quickly with no real buildup, more just one or two hits and it's over. The reason I say they were animated awkwardly is because there were so many excess movements involved in everything they did. A lot of over the top swaying and swinging around and really sudden movements with no real reason behind them. It's like they weren't even trying to make it look good. They were just like "hey look, giant robot breaking stuff" and thought that would be good enough.

And you'd think "realistic" aliens designed for war would have a few more high tech weapons (energy blasters anyone? Is that too much to ask for?) and armor. They just leave all their gears and circuits hanging out and they fly around whenever they get hit. Who designed those things?

He is very annoying...

That's another problem I have with the movie. The movie is focused on the humans, like am I really supposed to be more interested in this guy's infatuation with Megan Fox than the alien robots?

Although Charles did point out a pretty legitimate explanation for this: The robots take a ton of time and money to animate, especially with the level of (unnecessary?) detail they put into them. So it makes more sense from an economic standpoint to make it from the point of view of the humans. But... if you're going to do that, at least make the human element stronger. The dialogue and actors are just annoying and boring. :/

Honestly I thought most of the humans throughout the Transformers universe were annoying. =w=; But I agree.

Can I still watch the fourth one?

I can't tell you whether or not to see it or not. XD I'm probably going to see it anyway, even if I don't have high expectations of it. One of three things can happen:

1. I'll be pleasantly surprised by how well made it is compared to the others.
2. It'll just be all right and I'll likely be bored.
3. It'll be as awful as I'm expecting and I can actually support my claims against it with fact rather than assumption.

Out of those three, I hope it's not the second. lol
