Hello there Fun & Gamers! Welcome to this special summer themed event, hosted by the Fun & Games Mod Squad.
In this game, there is no winning, and no losing, it is simply meant as a fun pass time to allow you to explore and have wacky adventures.

The theme of the game? Random Messages Hits the Beach.

This will be a Choose Your Own Adventure Story. Each moderator post will contain multiple options. You, the players, may choose any of those options, although you may not choose an option if it has already been selected by another player.
To aid with this, each mod post will be threadmarked with the following sort of code:
D1Ca
Breaking this down:
D: Decision
1: number
C: Choice
a: choice selection

Some choices will result in dead ends or "game overs," while others will lead to more unique options. You may choose a previously un-selected choice for any decision, which, of course, will start a whole new story line. The mods may post multiple times in a row, in order to catch up with the responses to the thread.

Without further ado, here is your first decision:

You wake up to the sound of your cellphone ringing. Your friends are calling. Today is the day you had all planned on going to the beach together, but you're not sure if you feel like going. You answer your phone.

a) Tell your friends that you're sick, and stay home to play video games.
b) LET'S GO TO THE BEACH!
c) get abducted by a UFO.

c) get abducted by a UFO.

Your friends have all gathered at a nearby restaurant to have breakfast You agree to meet then and, head out of your house, fully intending to do so. However, as you are walking down the street, you are caught in a mysterious beam of light that transports you into a strange flying vehicle that had been hovering over your house.

On your arrival in the vessel, you are immediately swarmed by strange creatures you can only assume are extraterrestrials. They strap you onto a table and hook your mind up to a strange machine to take some readings.
Your only hope is to try to bamboozle the aliens' machine. What do you do?

a) run through your latest homework problems from quantum mechanics in you mind.
b) think about the latest baseball scores.
c) this.

a) Tell my friends that I'm sick, and stay home to play video games.

You tell your friends that you are sick and even fake cough into the phone a few times, just to be extra convincing. Your ruse works, and your friends go to the beach without you.

Meanwhile, you stay at home playing video games all day. Your friends have a phenomenal time at the beach, and even managed to find a shipwreck containing sunken treasure.
Your friends are all rich, while you missed out both on the adventure and the treasure.

Boy, do you feel stupid.

GAME OVER!

Lets go with that.
You go through your quantum mechanics problems in your mind, revealing your brilliance to the extraterrestrials. They extract the information from you, leaving you completely brain drained and dump you right back on the street where they found you. The procedure to drain your brain took several hours, so your friends left for the beach without you.
You are left, alone and forgotten, in the middle of a street with all of your knowledge gone. Luckily, you at least remember who you are and where you came from. What do you do?

a) go home and try hitting the books again in the hopes of regaining your knowledge.
b) call your friends and try to make your way to the beach.
c) go home and play video games. Regaining your knowledge is too much work.

You stumble your way back home, apparently the aliens' device messed with your motor skills a tiny bit. Hopefully it's temporary. You manage to arrive back safely, despite a few wobbles and near falls.
Your shiny game console awaits, and you stay at home playing video games all day. Your friends have a phenomenal time at the beach, and even managed to discover a new archipelago.
The islands were named after your friends, but not after you since you weren't there. You missed out on the adventure and having your name forever marked on a world atlas.

Boy, do you feel stupid.

GAME OVER!

Hm, lets see.

*Does work on the system to decrease the amount of entropy and thus time to reselect since this is allowed in this version of RM*

You return home, stumbling around a bit, since the aliens' fiendish device messed with your motor skills. You manage to make it back safely, despite a few wobbles and near falls.

Upon arriving, you immediately go to your library and begin reading your books on basic science. Unfortunately, all this manages to accompish is giving you a massive headache. You spend many hours trying to study, but in your brain's weakened and confused state, none of the information is retained.

You end the day frustrated and very stressed out, which is not helped when your friends arrive back from the beach. Apparently, while there, they somehow managed to bump into Archaic, who was going on a temporary vacation. Because he hit it off well with one of your friends, that friend was temporarily made Webmaster of Bulbagarden, while Archaic took a break and relaxed.

That should have been you!

All in all, what should have been a fun day at the beach was a complete train wreck.

GAME OVER!

b) LET'S GO TO THE BEACH!

Your friends pick you up at your house, as you make your way to the beach, you briefly notice a strange object that seemed to be hovering overhead, but it quickly disappears and you forget about it.

You arrive at your destination, the beach. The glorious beach. The sand stretches out in either direction seemingly forever, and the ocean waves lap against the shore endlessly. There are also some overpriced food shacks, which reminds you that you haven't eaten anything yet today. What do you do?

a) buy a meal from one of the food shacks.
b) go swimming.
c) explore the beach.
d) attempt to make a snow cone out of the sand.

b) go swimming.

I love to be salty after all
You spot an island off in the distance and challenge your friends to see who can make it to that island first. Due to your hunger, however, you come in last place and your friends make fun of you.
Nonetheless, you are in good spirits, since it is nice to be among friends. A nice ocean breeze rustles the palm trees on the decently sized island. You are still hungry, considering that you have not eaten yet.
There appear to be coconuts and bananas on the island, as well as a fishing rod leaning against one of the trees. It seems slightly weathered and beaten from years of use, but it would appear to be serviceable. What do you do?

a) use the rod to go fishing.
b) explore the island.
c) attempt to shake loose some coconuts.
d) Oh, banana!
