Re: Random Messages Thread: TM 12 - Water Gun

I have an android and I can tell you they are quite durable. Mine fell out my coat pocket and hit the floor with quite some force, the only damage is a chip in the corner, but that's hidden underneath the case.
Samsungs are literally the toughest things ever. I dropped mine from the balcony of a two story building onto concrete. It only had a few scratches. It might just be Avants though.
You win.

Re: Random Messages Thread: TM 12 - Water Gun

I don't want some annoying ex texting me in the middle of the night or a creep who won't leave me alone. Even then I've tried not to give my number out and these annoyances will pester and pester and I'll use excuse after polite excuse but as soon as they see I have my phone out I'm done for. Blocking numbers is ineffective if they use a mate's phone. When I'm out and about I don't want my mood soured by someone being horrible to me.
Stalking or harassing via phones/social media is illegal in many parts of the world, including England.
Depending on how helpful it may be, I think you should look into reporting the stalker(s).

But I don't know the whole story, so I apologize if that's not an option.

Re: Random Messages Thread: TM 12 - Water Gun

iOS has the ability to block numbers, and to set a do not disturb time. I don't know about android but i assume it does too.

Phone hardware outdates quickly, yes... but it takes about 5 years before Apple stops supporting its older products and giving them OS updates. Which means any Apple device made in the last 5 years should be able to run Pokemon Go.

Windows Phone is the same, I believe... Bu t I have a very long rant about how bad the Android update process is.

Apple and Microsoft update their devices themselves. Android is made by google, sent to the handset maker then must be approved by the carrier.

As for breakable screens and hardware, the cheaper phones are easily broken, yes. I have put my iPhones through a LOT of rough treatment over the years.... And never had one fail on me. The worst that happened was the screen got cracked once and my carrier's insurance replaced it.

Rumor has it the iPhone 7 will come with a screen that is ten times tougher than the current one.

I can't tell you how tough Androids are since I have had a bad run with them.

Hmmm, I don't know much about the operating systems. I have a small HTC android phone. I think it's the Samsung Galaxy S6 (?) that is water proof and built like a brick but that price tag o_O Just about everyone I know who has a iPhone has had or still has a broken screen which heavily puts me off one (and the price Samsung and Apple charge for their phones compared to the dire conditions the workers are in is disgusting).

I honestly don't know what to say.. I mean, I have had 5 iPhones over the years... put them through a lot of rough treatment and only once cracked the screen. And the screen was still usable.

I am more worried about bending my iPhone 6 plus than cracking the screen :p

Urg! Samsung! I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Bought it late 2013. October I think. March 2014 I had bought a cheap Windows Phone to replace my expensive Galaxy Note 3... Stupid Battery refuses to charge.

My Nokia Lumia served me until November 2014 when I redeemed myself by returning to iPhones. That Nokia Lumia still works almost a year later. I have no idea what to do with it...

Re: Random Messages Thread: TM 12 - Water Gun

All Samsung Galaxy series that I've known are though...

I have a huge family living closer to each other. I used to have Samsung Galaxy 3 mini, my cousins had Galaxy Chat and Galaxy V *all cheap series and not fancy*

Mine once fall on the beach, all I need to do were dry it up and it works nicely after that. It also felt from my bed quite often, and now after almost 3 years still can be used *the battery is need to be charged twice a day and the memory is too small for now days game* but basically still work fine.. I just gave it to my brother cause I change to the more powerful ASUS zenphone 2.

My cousins phones also quite fine. They usual problem just lag due to not enough RAM to support the AMOLED screen I guess... but they r though, durable, and cheap :3

IPhone's screen just crack easily imo. 2 of my family have iphone 5. Both of their phone cracked on the screen *I forget why but they cracked but still can be used though*.

Everyone I know who has a iPhone has a shattered screen. They are the flimsiest of all phones, better at everything else, but easy to break.
I've never seen a shattered Samsung though.

The iPhone doesn't crack easily... Not even when you throw it at a brick wall. That is what I have been trying to say.

... The brick wall thing is a long story.

Thanks for the advice :)
However they're not really doing anything wrong, they just ask too many personal questions and it's downright creepy and when I've told them not to ask the questions they then get butt hurt that I'm not treating them like a human being and they don't understand what's wrong .-. There's several of them and they're just too friendly. I had the same trouble at school I usually just wait a bit then block/unfriend them.

Re: Random Messages Thread: TM 12 - Water Gun

I think I know that feel...

I'm fine to be alone person and need huge personal space too. Have some friends tried to be kind and really friendly to me but I just can't get it.. they like to plan a trip on huge huge group of people and cancel it when 1 or 2 can't come... when I type who even can go all by myself...

So.. I usually just ignore all their message and call :3..

Re: Random Messages Thread: TM 12 - Water Gun

Now I think about it maybe I don't actually hate mobile phones xD However I usually hate something at first (I deny to myself that I like it :') ) and then love it, I did this with Pokemon, the 3DS, gaming in general, Team Flare, dresses and the colour red.

All the negatives I've listed for mobile phones really go the same for computers (because you can get social media on them) and I like computers.

Re: Random Messages Thread: TM 12 - Water Gun

The reason iPhones crack so easily is because they look nice so a lot of people don't put cases on them. The way the screen is raised means it's really easy for it to crack if it's not protected. I have a rubber Pikachu case and a screen protector, so I've never broken my phone.
Also hi, I'm back!

That's true... I bought a shock absorb case for my dad's iphone because he is prone to dropping things.

But the one I threw at a brick wall had no case and didn't break...

I still think that the most unreliable part of any electronic device is sitting in front of the screen :p

Apparently, you haven't met ME yet...which is odd, considering how often we've interacted.

This is true for pretty much everything.
