I personally prefer the alert theme from the very first Metal Gear game on the MSX to this one, but the MGS1 version was certainly always a tense theme to be played in the unfortunate event of being spotted (especially given the high likelihood of getting killed in horrific fashion shortly afterwards, haha). 7.5/10.
This track from Panzer Dragoon Zwei sounds a bit to me like something that wouldn't be out of place in MGS, before the latter even existed:
7/10 Pretty standard, but it has the right amount of energy to be catchy. I actually looked up this game by the title just out of curiosity and it certainly looks quirky.
I remember this one from a little earlier in this thread. It's still a very nice song, with somewhat of a bittersweet feeling to it (the SNES instrumentation helps a lot with that, too). 8/10.
