Calvin and Camille shared a knowing and nostalgic expression upon seeing Alma and Amelia speaking at the same time, then they went business-like again. "We need to keep looking." They said.
OOC: Sorry, I had come home yesterday (I know I said I would be home on Sunday but long story cut short, friend who was my ride abandoned me on Sunday night so I stayed another night and another friend, who is a truer friend then the last took me home on Monday, and when I got home in the afternoon I was just too tired to post really).
"I heard" Piper said seeming coming from nowhere. "I guess we are forced to try another day, or keep looking because she could be hiding out somewhere. Maybe research it, surely someone knows something, she kidnapped Maria and took my Umbreon, there's no way she can't be known" Piper commented trying not to look sad.
"I think it was.. Kathany.. no Katherine.. No Kate, Katie, that's right but I never heard her last name" Piper said, that wouldn't help, there were thousands of people named Katie or Kate due to it being a very common name.
"Well, I'll see what I can do." Calvin said. "Let's see, in the Slateport City area... Oh, could this be our lucky day?!" His face lit up like a Christmas tree. "There's only six or so in this area. You can look and see which one's our target."
"You guys have to be the biggest idiots," Adam frowned. "Stubborn and idiotic do you seriously think that she wouldn't have just left the city hasn't that ever crossed your darn minds."
Calvin's eye twitched, and he had to take a few deep breaths before he spoke. "Okay, two things." He said in a deadly calm tone. "First off, there's a such thing as verification. Getting a second opinion as one might call it. Second, kindly save your attitude for what's-her-face. Arguing isn't getting anywhere, and you yourself strongly boycotted infighting. Yet here you are, trying to start something, with the most ill-tempered person in here. So that also makes you a hypocrite if I've done my math correctly." With that, he turned around and put the laptop away, then left before anyone could say anything else.
"I was just stating the obvious," Adam rubbed the back of his neck. "Even if we do find her there's no guarantee that we can beat her especially if she's with more people than she was yesterday."
"You're not leaving," Maria said while grabbing a hold of Calvin's hand firmly. She then turned to Adam. "And you, stop being so pessimistic Piper's just trying to rescue her Umbreon do you really think it would be so bad to help."
"I'm just stating the obvious," Adam fumed. "There's no point in searching around when the option that she could've left is always there if her Pokemon knows teleport then there's no guarantee that she'll still be here and if she is then she's stupider than I thought."
Calvin sighed and rubbed his temples, obviously unhappy with being unable to leave. Instead of complaining, however, he simply turned to Adam with a tired expression. "So, what did you have in mind, O Logical One?" He asked, not bothering to spare any sarcasm.
"Leave it for now," Adam nodded his head. "Chances are we'll see her again without having to look for her since she didn't obtain what she wanted, and next time we'll be ready."
"To kill us," Adam nodded his head. "We have Linkeage and considering how hostile they were yesterday they probably think of us as hindrances." he nodded his head. "However I think they left cause they just don't have the element of surprise anymore, I mean we're ready in case they might attack us again while we're here but we're not gonna be here all the time."
"Right." Calvin said. "They didn't seem too concerned with us, though." He motioned to himself and Camille. "Anyway, I think we should screw with them by moving around ourselves. While there would be a risk of encountering them, we would still catch them off guard."
"That's because you guys don't have Linkeage, neither of you went to the lab with us," Adam pointed out. "We're all gonna go our separate ways anyways."
Piper didn't say anything towards Adam's attitude but she was annoyed, all she wanted was to find Umbreon and try everything, it was no reason to insult any of them. "So.. We should just wait? And what if that takes weeks? Or months? What if she hires someone to come after us or someone else does the job. How you know the person who hasn't ordered her to do this didn't fire her or kill her and now Umbreon isn't going to be found so easily" Piper questioned sounding a bit worked up, she didn't want to think this could happen, only that she would be reunited again.
"In any case..." Alma quipped up, as Saeko pulled on Adam's ear for acting like a "know-it-all prick". "Even if these guys don't have Linkage, they're still good fighters. Don't act like having Linkage makes you a god." Alma continued, leveling a glare onto Adam.
