Rayquaza decends on Pokémon GO in new Primal Rumblings event, in advance of upcoming Pokémon GO Tour Hoenn

With the Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn set to start next month, Niantic has announced details for the new Primal Rumblings event, which will be running from February 22nd at 10:00am local time, through to February 24th, at 10:00pm local time. During this event, a range of Pokémon who first appeared in the Hoenn region in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire will be appearing more frequently, and players will have the opportunity to have encounters with several of Hoenn's Legendary Pokémon in both Five-Star and Mega Raids.

Event Bonuses and Activities

• 2× XP for evolving Pokémon.

Collection Challenge and Field Research tasks
An Evolution themed Collection Challenge, as well as Hoenn-themed Field Research, will be available as part of the Primal Rumblings event. Completing the Primal Rumblings Collection Challenge will award Trainers with Ultra Balls and a Rocket Radar, while completing the Field Research tasks will award players with a selection of items to prepare them for the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn - Global.

Stickers
Trainers will be able to receive okémon GO Tour: Hoenn-themed stickers during this event by spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts.

Rayquaza caught in Five-Star Raids between February 22nd at 10:00am and March 1st at 10:00am local time will know the Charged Attack Breaking Swipe, which is making its debut to the game with this event. Breaking Swipe will have 50 Power in Trainer Battles while also reducing the opponent's attack stat, and 35 Power in Gyms and Raids.
