I'm a bit dried out right now in terms of what anime to watch. Maybe some people here could give me some suggestions. I generally like three kinds of anime; slow, serious animes with a slightly more episodic nature, Horror animes of all kinds, and ridiculous anime that don't take themselves seriously. I also like anything weird or absurd in general, and anything to do with animals.

Some examples of anime I have seen and liked;
Natsume Yujinnchou
Mushishi
Serial Experiments Lain
Kino no Tabi
Denou Coil
Colorful
Tokyo Godfathers
Paprika
FLCL
Higurashi
Umineko
Kakurenbo
Great Teacher Onizuka
Hetalia
Sergeant Frog
Nichijou
Azumanga Daioh
Golden Boy
Ghost Stories
Pani Poni Dash
Hamtaro
Excell Saga
Abenobashi mahou shotengai
Cromartie High School
Paranoia Agent.

Some anime I HATED;
Cat Soup (SHUDDER)
Mushi Uta (Makes me want to start bug- peta cult)
Seikon No Qwaser (the idea was really really cool, the elements part. But it still feels too much like a porno)

So based on this, you can see what I generally like...... help anyone?

2 animes I know of that I feel like you'll enjoy are Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt in the absurd category, (be warned, however, that it's pretty much built around foul humor, lewdness, and profanity, and lots of them...), and Paranoia Agent, a psychological horror anime.

Are there any anime about bugs? You should probably try an anime about bugs.

Based on your likes, I will second the above recommendation to Paranoia Agent (aka "Mousou Dairinin"). It's a very psychological piece with mystery elements.

Another gem that follows along those lines is Denpa Teki na Kanojo. It's a thrilling and intelligent piece with again, a lot of focus on mystery. This one is pretty short, it's only 2 OVAs that are about 2 episodes each in length (so a little under 1.5 hours for the whole thing).

If you're up for even more mindfuckery, Mind Game is another one with only a small time investment (it's a movie). It's very abstract, colorful, metaphoric, and thought-provoking.

These are mostly based off of your liking of anime like Higurashi and Lain.

I also saw a recommendation for Danganronpa; this one is basically pure mystery, with lots of blood and a dark tone, so is worth checking out if that sounds appealing.

While we're on that track, the plots and subplots of Hyouka all have a focus on mysteries, but it's wrapped into an otherwise lighthearted school slice of life, to contrast with Danganronpa. Hyouka focuses a lot on its SoL elements and character development, and not just mystery. It's pretty good but is a larger time investment, coming in at 22 episodes.

Then why not try Persona 4:The Animation it has a bit of everything
Seen it, loved it :>

Thanks XD I've seen both and found them both great.
1. Dangan Ronpa
2. Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)
3. Free!
Hmm, what sort of anime is "Free!" ?

Ohhh yes, You are speaking my languages :D Those literally all look amazing... I can see you know your stuff. Hyouka and Daganronpa in particular are really getting my attention. Thanks alot :'D Btw I love your Rena signature.

Haibane Renmei, slow, serious, heartwarming and beautiful. One of my favorite shows ever. Same creators that did Serial Experiments Lain. But Haibane Renmei is a better show IMO.

Just want to thank you again. ._. I finished Donganronpa, and it's one of the best animes I've ever seen, and I'm halfway through Hyouka, thanks you really gave me some good ones :3

No problem, and thanks to Dark Chocolate for bringing it up in the first place :)

You should watch Princess Jellyfish! :) There's only 12 episodes, but it was funny, sad at some times, and interesting!

Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood. Partly humorous, partly serious and dark, but always interesting.

The majority of the shows you mentioned I've never seen or never heard of so I hope my suggestions can be a bit valid.

If you don't mind RPGs or series based on them I recommend the Tales series, like Tales of Symphonia. Hm, or maybe the .hack series.

Since you like random stuff, how about Penguin no Mondai or the Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nocchi Guu series?

Gundam Build Fighters: which is a very good, very underrated, and awesome installment of the Gundam franchise in general, also Macross Plus.

07-Ghost, Karneval, Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist (although the manga is much better), PandoraHearts, UraBoku, K, Free!, Kuroko no basuke.
(And these are only a few suggestions :p)
