I am thinking of being Red for Halloween, and it was only today I noticed his shoes and how unique they are:

Do they make shoes like this in the real world?

I doubt you'd find any in real life. o.o You could try to make some...

actually what kinda shoes are trying to make em look like in that artwork?
they look like some weird hybrid between a trainer and plimsoll

You'll only find them in Pallet Town
Worn out but the best you will find.
(From Type: Wild... Probably talking about Ash's shoes but still XD)

When it comes to shoes I tend to give up trying when I make fanarts or plushies and it only ends up as a single-colored round ball:p
If it were me I'd ignore the shoes and just wear what's comfortable, or you could find something that just has the same color.

The closest thing I've found so far is these:

They do sell shoes that have a strap around the ankle like that.

I hate buying shoes for costumes, because I feel obligated to wear them regularly to offset the price I paid for them. Especially if they look silly.

You could have gotten a pair of white running shoes and painted them.

but the running shoes weren't created yet!

...

Anyways, I've never seen shoes like that. Just get white ones and put red on in appropriate places.
