I love the picture! :-D And the way they hold each other is extremely in character. Another great job!

Lol, did I already said how amused I am by their tendancy to put R on just about everything?

I'll bet you anything that even applies to birth control...

Nice pic Snake. Jessie's position is just so sensual, shall we say.....well let's just say she wants even more of James heh. I also like how she's more aggresive with the kiss than James lol.

I don't know how Jessie's hair could mess things up, maybe for James...

About that site, I must say that they really aren't so bad when you don't take things too seriously. Their guides are real fun to read besides the whole james is gay thing lol.

And if anything unhappy occurs then, I will take a pair of vice grips and optimistically go roamin' off to show some PUSA decision-makers how crushed my tender little heart is by demonstrating said crushing on a tender little part of their anatomy, smiling the whole time.
:lol:
But before that, I found their relationship so unique (please excuse the bad word usage there, I'm speaking colloquially) that I couldn't find a single song evocative of it...
This is my problem as well. All lovey songs are too, dramatic somehow. Obviously M/K are melodramatic people, but I think they'd be uncharacteristically subtle about their relationship. In fact, they still are. Whilst they might overexaggerate everything else, they always downplay their own closeness (that "Musashiiiii!" scene in DP 117 being an example). They act like it's not really as "serious" (not the word) as it is.

Therefore (back to the point xD) lovey-dovey, gushy-mushy stuff (which most love songs are) don't fit, and if they're not like that they tend to be totally OOC anyway.

But Shiny - I look forward to your vid if you make it! And hopefully we'll hear your song someday, I'm sure it'd be awesome :)
For me, it's probably the whole Jessalina contest attire.
Oh no :disgust: It's too... ott. I can see them in the future just wearing jeans and tees. As for their shippiest outfits ever... Volbeat and that other one xD He looks like he's humping her! (If you look at it from a distance...a quite far distance).

I wish they'd get new outfits. I know they love them because they designed them and all, but can't they design some new ones? Which aren't ugly and dated?
(If anyone could draw Jessie and James in their contest outfirs, I'd be grateful)
I was planning to ;-) Not-gangster-ouendan Kojiro = win for me, so him and Musalina doing something is on my priority list.

Oh, btw, I actually drew something! It's not shippy itself, more funny (I hope) but it has helldemon babies... so hopefully you'll all like it!

This (well, it would be, but I first found the site as a 14 year old and got seriously pissed off at a joke they made about 14 year old Indian girls being arranged married off, so I found nothing funny of their from then on :p)

I'm glad you all liked my picture! I'm really looking forward to draw more Rocketshippy stuff in the future, though right now my brain decided to get fixated on something completely different and far dirtier... it might take a while. :sweatlol:

Yay helldemon babies! :yahoo: I have to say again that I'm so flattered you like my twins that much!

Aww, but they're so cute ^^ I hope you don't get offended if they're really ugly/off/OOC. I'm just thankful that stuff is now making the journey from my mind to the paper, forget the details! :p

ott? Yeah I saw that ep, it was pretty interesting.

QFT, QFT, QFT. You know those executive outfits they had in that end of that snorlax ep. Let's see...

AG338.jpg

Writers, make them wear this in Johto. Or else. They're just so....executive and stylish and I nearly fanboy-gasamed when I first saw them. I wanted them to wear it....and then it was a dream.

I was planning to ;-) Not-gangster-ouendan Kojiro = win for me, so him and Musalina doing something is on my priority list.

gangster-ouendan? But yes, I would like to see a drawing from anyone here with her outfit...

Hey, Snakester - I reviewed your smooches!

<hm...that sounds...not quite right... :loopy:>

Anyway, here's what I said:

Lovely!

I like the blushes, and how Jessie's hair is a little mussed up. Heee!

Re: Pokemope-olis (<--sad attempt to give them a humorous nickname...)

As I said, I was perusing my old computer yesterday (before I started to MELT because our downstairs a/c is busted)... You want to know one of the very first things I started to write? An outraged (but calmly reasoned and logical, or so I hoped) rebuttal of Pokemopolis's anti-Rocketshipping rant. You see, I'd come across their "Koffing is great" page and was amused, and read some of their other little things and was more amused, and then came across the Anti-RS thing.

Now, understand that I had only been watching Pokemon and reading its fanfic for...about two and a half weeks, at most. I liked RocketShipping, but I wasn't devoted, body and soul yet. Their high-handed, oh-so-superior tone just annoyed me.

After copying their rant into my word processing program and breaking it up into chunks for easy commentage, I began my reply, and ...

...

...and...

...

...and no matter where I tried to begin, I couldn't argue with them, because nothing in their argument made sense.

I mean, seriously! It was like trying to argue nuclear physics with a three-year-old – everything they said was so nonsensical you just couldn't begin to refute it.

I went back and re-read it, and I finally snapped – it was a parody. It was as much a joke as their "serious" evidence that Togepi is a demon leech. I mean, it was either that, or they were so hideously stupid that they actually thought being dramatic = being gay. Which, you know, is possible...but the other stuff I was reading on their sight was clever and witty enough that it made that idea hard to support.

So, I grinned and decided that I'd fallen for the joke, and realized I didn't need to rebut anything, their arguments pretty much rebutted themselves.

Now, I DO think they've let the joke go too far – I mean, they won't even accept RocketShipping stories into their archive, no matter how funny or well-written, which is just so very, VERY uncool that I can't articulate it (I think that's one of the things that pissed me off enough to start a rebuttal in the first place, actually). That and the "dirty, dirty liar" thing cross the line between Stephen-Colbert-type-mock-earnestness and just being assholes, IMHO.

But I ceased to take their "official stand" at all seriously at that point. I mean, how seriously can you take an analysis of James's sexuality that doesn't even mention the word "bishonen?"

I do still read their episode synopses when I'm bored, which are pretty hilarious, but they get tedious at times (even the Togepi-as-Demon thing can grate after too long); that level of parody is hard to sustain for twelve freakin' years, lol.

But they ceased to really bother me at that point.

~~~~~~~~~~
BTW, I got a manga for $1 at my local used bookstore...it's called "More Starlight To Your Heart, Vol 2," and it's actually pretty good (far better than anyone has a right to expect from that title, heh). I mention it because there's a character in it named Yakumo Minamoto, a friend of the hero, who's so much like Mondo, it's scary. ;-)
Anyway, back to melting....
(I SO wish Pokemon were real, and I had an Ice-Type right now....)
DP133 fansub time!
Musashi: Wage or loan, if you compare them...
Kojiro: ...you won't be quite sure which one is better.
Then shouldn't, you know, a money symbol be on the scale?
Also, that part at the end where the Rocket-Dan fight was really funny! PCI just has us so paranoid that we freak out every time they fight when it's really not a big deal.
hmmm, interesting. maybe they're trying to hint us towards something else ;) and it's so annoying how PCI makes it seem like Jessie and James hate each other!!!:banghead:
let's hope they just don't do that to a certain episode....
Here's some interesting research I just found:
Asian Color Symbolism
Red: Happiness, marriage, prosperity
Pink: Marriage
Yellow: Against evil, for the dead, geomantic blessings
Green: Eternity, family, harmony, health, peace, posterity
Blue: Self-cultivation, wealth
Purple: Wealth
White: Children, helpful people, marriage,
mourning, peace, purity, travel
Gold: Strength, wealth
Gray: Helpful people, travel
Black: Career, evil influences, knowledge, mourning, penance, self-cultivation
Anyway, I'm not sure how to phrase the heart scale scene on the Bulbapedia page. Any ideas?
that is interesting!!
well, the heart was pink which symbolizes marriage and the scale itself was gold which is strenght wealth. The scale itself was pretty well balanced so, does that mean that they have a strong and wealthy love for eachother(?) That's just my interpetation thought....
I think the gold was just for the money motto. But why there was a heart, let alone a pink heart, is officially up for interpretation. They could've used purple and kept the concept while still matching the color scheme. That just would've meant love of money (with a possible double meaning since it's still a heart after all) but I'm not sure what to think after finding out what pink means. Also, why have a heart at all? There wasn't a need for any type of symbol. In fact, using a scale when you're comparing doesn't make much sense in the first place.
I guess when it comes to love/marriage they're not in balance. But, they're relationship being up in the air isn't anything new. I guess this is just reinforcing that.
I agree, the pink heart seems a strange symbol, if it were to convey love of money, why not a coin, or some dollar symbols or so? Why a pink heart? Indeed leaves room for speculations...
That has to be one one the cutest hugs they have made. Is it too much to ask for something like this in *gasp* new episodes?
