Welcome to the Roleplaying Section. This guide was created to help all of those who come here - new or otherwise, to learn how things work in the section from the rules to the two-step process of creating an RP.

Section Rules

• Authority
  • Within the bounds of their RP, the GM has the highest power until the staff have to step in. The staff have the final authority over anything in the section.
  • No GM or player is allowed to step into another RP they aren’t affiliated with.
• Participation & Behavior
  • Be cooperative, be kind, and always be respectful of another! All issues with another member should be reported to a GM, who can contact the section staff should they deem it necessary. All problematic posts/members will be handled by the staff.
  • Public RPs require a sign-up phase.
  • OOC posting rules are at the GM’s discretion.
  • Unless the GM states otherwise, assume that descriptions explicit content such as rape, sodomy, extreme visceral violence, etc. are not allowed.

General Information
All RPs fall under two sets of categories: Pokemon or Non-Pokemon, both being indicative of their premise, and Public or Private - showing whom this RP is open to.

Public RP
A Public RP is, as it implies, one run by a Game Master that is open to the general public. The GM of a prospective RP must first create a Sign-Up thread, which must have at least the following:

• A premise. The amount of information given is up to the GM.
• Any pertinent information, such as the rules of the RP.
• A sign-up sheet for characters.
  ** Remember to be respectful to the GM and in regards to RPs that aren't PG-13, we ask that we limit the excessive description.

Beyond those necessities, anything else added is entirely up to the GM. These threads are where players post their character apps based on the given sign-up sheet, and the GM will evaluate those apps at their own discretion.

Once the GM feels they’ve gotten enough players, they can enter the Start-Up phase. This is where the RP actually begins, with the GM setting the stage and going from there. The GM can either use their sign-up thread as their start-up, or can create a new thread altogether.

Private RP
A Private RP is a much more free-form endeavor; it is simply an isolated RP with other pre-involved players. Sign-ups are not necessary for these.
