Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

A Grass-type frog might be interesting, in relation to Tree Frogs.

For some reason, I think a worm of some kind would be nice.

I like the tree frog idea. Also a ground/bug worm would be cool.

I think they could make it cute, but it would probably be ugly. I think I might draw one and post it sometime.

I thought Wurmple was cute. However, I do remember how I couldn't help but think 'the hell?' to the name 'Wurmple'. It just sounds odd to say.

Ground/Bug Worm makes me think of Sandworms from the Beetlejuice cartoon, or perhaps the monsters from the Tremors movies. XD

An evo of Claydol based off the Venus of Wildendorf, so Gardevoir can be spared from Rule 34.

ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOAD!

I sincerely hope not.

I don't think anything can spare Gardevoir from it. Lopunny sure as shooting never did.

I predict a legendary trio that's all part water.

Water/Ghost
Water/Fire
Water/Rock

They should be fishes or something.

Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

Komodo Dragon, Dragon/Poison; Bug/Fire and Bug/Electric evos of Volbeat/Illumise, with a shared bug prevo; Grass/Dragon evo for Tropius; a Water/Bug alternate evo for Surskit with Levitate as an ability and an attack that increase speed and evasion one stage each; a Bug/Ground (having been opened yet not filled by Nincada); Dark/Psychic, a witch maybe; Fire/Ghost, a candle or a will-o-wisp or something; Fire/Poison, for a decent wall (the ability Levitate would help matters greatly: regardless, this type would be immune to burn and poison, and weak only to Water, Psychic, and Rock, resisting 7 types and immune to 1); a Fire/Rock would be great having an ability like Solid Rock; the Ghost/Grass willow I've found to be a good idea.

Some combinations that others can work out:
a Bug/Psychic; Dark/Fighting; Electric/Ground; Electric/Rock (this is what Probopass should've been I think); Fighting/Ice (this makes alotta sense, when you think about it--where else do warriors go to train, if not the North Pole?); Ghost/Ground (dead somethings that did not return to the dust from whence they came); Ghost/Normal (for all its resolving immunities); Ghost/Psychic, something could easily be done.

For the record, I'm hoping the snake will be Grass/Electric, but Grass/Steel will do equally fine (as long as the other starters end up 4x weak to the following starter). Otherwise, I don't want to see the typing. Also, Ghost/Rock seems like the typing for the sarcophagus, so no mention. I also think very few pokemon in Gen. 1 will receive stand-alone treatment. I think Pinsir will get an evo, as will Tauros as speculated.

These typings being seen, there are plenty more pures I'd like to see. Pure Dragons, hitherto only used on nfe's; Bugs, mostly, again, used on nfe's; Ice--the first pure wasn't until Gen 3, and there are 3 pure lines including one Regice; Rocks--Sudowoodo and Cranidos are the fully-evolved non-legend pures (there also needs to be more rock-based Rocks); Steel, Mawile being the lone.

Some types otherwise lacking in members are Fire (there are very few each generation, at least for gameplay), Ice, Dark maybe (I dunno), Electric, Fighting maybe (I again dun know), Ghost.

Well, that's just a few things of want I want to see.

You can put me in the Kangaskhan prevo camp; the Farfetch'd evo camp; someone mentioned an Xatu evo: put me in that camp!

I'd like to see Ditto, Unown, and Girafarig evolve as well.

A few things...

1) I like the move that increases speed for the Surskit evo, but why evasion? You KNOW that would instantly be banned from standard play, and the evolution wouldn't be as high-tier as it could be. Why not Agility instead? Or maybe a special-based equivalent of Dragon Dance, since Masquerain is a special attacker?

2) Why should the snake be Grass/Electric? o_0

3) Why would Ditto evolve? More importantly, what would it evolve into?

Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

In reverse order: 3) It'd evolve into something that instantly transforms into the opponent. 2) Speculation is already underway based on supposed leaked translations of the 2nd evolution of the grass starter, and on the name Tsutawaiya or something, which is supposedly that of the grass starter's first evo. Grass/Electric or Grass/Steel seem to be the most likely types of the starter. I'm a little offed by Grass/Electric as far as may concern a special attacker. Physical moves, however, will be a fine combination for it, like Thunder Fang and all. 1) I was thinking this thing would be an annoying little 'squiter. It'd otherwise have the same stat total of Masquerain. Speed and evasion would give it great Substitutes and many other tricks (ensuring it gets the faster hand, granting the longer survival of substitutes, and increasing the chance, if a substitute isn't up, of getting one up). It'd also be an optimal thing to Baton Pass.

Not in competitive play it wouldn't. Any move that increases evasion is banned. In the main game/battle frontier it would be fine though.

Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

Funny, I was also thinking of a Belly Drum-like move, 'cept that instead of raising your Attack, it raises your Evasion.

Actually, I never thought of that. But I did indeed think up of a move that sharply lowers the opponent's accuracy.

Well, anyway, isn't that what hazing is for? Arguably, this would be a legitimate move, since it exists for the purpose of BPing and indeed does Pass a 'legitimate stat.'

Another move that could be made is a priority Hazing move. It could lower speed one stage or something, but return any opponent to normal grounds without fail, in essence. I'd support that.

I want something like a blue salamander pokemon. It would be a Water/Fire type, playing off the aquatic nature of real salamanders and the fire nature of mythic/fantasy based salamander monsters.

Well Charmander already kind of plays off of salamanders, but I like the idea of a water/fire one. Maybe have a water tadpole pokemon for the first stage and have the last stage part fire.

Be creative with frogs, and you suggest making them water type?

Frogs swim in water, that is kinda a given. How about a frog that has devil horns, aptly named Beazllefrgs.
