Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

I feel that a Griffin-based Pokemon would be awesome. It's also possible that they'll dive into more mythological creature pokemon such as a Kraken (or Leviathan) and others that I suddenly forgot. :p

Initially, there were rumors about Tauros getting an evolution based around a minotaur. =P

Yeah, that martjingamer who claimed he got insider info on BW even though he was the supposed owner of an old/famous Zelda site that shut down. -.-

Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

or they could introduce a diffrent cave for the pokemon to evolve, making another version exclusive, that way when "gray" comes out people still have a use for Black and White, because all too often the special version overshadows the original 2 versions.

That's not a bad idea, but the only problem is you'd have an unobtainable pokemon for 2-4 years depending on when the third version comes out. The "grey" evolved form would almost have to be an in-game trade before then because nobody could legally finish their pokedex till the third version comes out. But a three way version based branched evolution would be pretty sweet. It would definately be one more way to encourage trading if not buying multiple games.

Well, these aren't predictions as much as they are a wishlist. But here are some of my favourite weird animals that haven't been made into Pokemon yet...

Elephant shrew: Just the right mixture of cute and weird for me.

Macropinna microstoma: It has a transparent dome for a skull. Need I say more?

Yeti crab: Half crustacean, half cryptid.

Artemia salina: Okay, yeah... they're brine shrimp, or sea monkeys. I've always had a soft spot for them. I had a tank of them going for several years a while back...

Manakin bird: There are no words to describe this. Just watch the video.

I see the problem, well either way they could figure something out, It would just be an original Idea and as you said, a good way to make them money.

Gracias Bay, I wish gamefreak would listen to me.. :bounce:

Oh, I know. I bet there are some great ideas for Pokemon created by fans. But eventually we find our favorites out of what Game Freak designs.

I'm sure that there are numerous pokemon that were influenced by the fans and their ideas. Which ones those are I don't know. But I'd think GF would look at their fansites every now and then, jsut to peruse the possibilities.

It's not unheard of.

Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

I remember back in 2000, my older brother (then-aged 8) gave a Nintendo guy at the Dome Mew event a drawing he made of a Pokémon that looked like Makuhita, except not so squashed...it was just like Nintendo got his original design, removed the Electric type and squashed it xD

It's common knowledge that TPCi look at fansites to get feedback, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they at least get influenced by our ideas.

No Jynx evo? :'(
Jynx doesn't really need to evolve.

According to the 'pedia, Spinarak was created via a "children's Pokémon design activity in the American TCG League". I'd love to know the details behind this, and whether it's ever been the case for other Pokemon.

Polar bear. It SHOULD have been shiny Ursaring, but NOOOOO, they had to give us a Martian bear.

Hopefully if they add a polar bear, it should be Ice/Fighting. That would be epic.

Ice/Fighting polar bear? Sounds awesome. We need some more Ice pokemon and what is more well known than a polar bear right? you know, Ice wise. It's begging to happen.

On a sidenote I'd like to see Ursaring evolve into Ursaking.

Huh, seems weird that kids would come up with a face-spider. Seems like they'd end up with a more abstract Pokemon. That's if this is true...

My idea for a polar bear took a different route...one with Aurora-based powers so it'd be Ice/Electric since I believe the Northern Lights are the result of electrical charges interacting with the atmosphere.

Plus, Bearealis is too good of a name to pass up.

Ice/Electric would make alot of since that way. But give it a special electric signature move that has to do with the Northern lights. Alot cooler than coming out and just using Thunderbolt.
