There is only one thing I have to say about it, and that is "What happened to the clam shell sword?" That seemed central to the design according to Sugimori. Without knowing the context of the word, we cannot know. Everyone is concerned about otter or snakey, though. What about piggy? Can you explain how that is a Chinese design?

It would've been easier to say that the snake is of Chinese origin and the pig is American, but then "racism," etc.

The one thing that I find iffy is that how is Miju3 supposed to be fighting? Has there ever been a quadrupedal fighting type? Because IIRC wasn't Miju said to evolve into a water/Fighting type?

The Water/Fighting thing was a rumor that predated the alleged evos, based on Miju's second evo being samurai-like as seen in the anime concept art. Miju3's supposed to be pure Water, Tutarja3's pure Grass, and Pokabu3's Fire/Fighting (assuming this is all real, which I believe it is).

Funny how some people have different interpretations of which designs are based on which origin. If you ask me...

Tsutarja: Western (European)
Pokabu: Chinese
Mijumaru: Japanese

Final evos of course.

I think it'll do something like... Liger Zero Schneider(Google it) and grow blades out of the shells on it's limbs, we just can't see it right now. You know, just like how Typhlosion's flames aren't always on it's back but we always see them?

Didn't the interview expressively say that Tsutarja = Western, Pokabu = Chinese and Mijumaru = Japanese?

>> But Shneider's blades are movable via the arm where the stabilizers on the zero's normal armor is. And even then they fold up behind it. And on the head too, they fold backwards, they don't appear out of nowhere

As for typhlosion they have the red patches where the flames go

The final evolution for the pig appears to be designed somewhat similarly to the Chinese style of artwork. Also keep in mind that the pig is one of the zodiac animals in the Chinese zodiac, might be significant or not.

Ok so let ne get this straight about what happned while I've been gone
like 6 potential pokemon were revealed.
Serebii is worried because the unspeakables could actually be fake according to sugimori's interview, which possibly discredits the secret source, so if they are fake, then i wonder what other things we've been shown and told are?
Alot or almost all of Melkor's stuff could be fake.
alot or almost all isshu pokemon are " reinvented" 1st gen pokemon, so this whole game is like a restart to the whole franchise
there arent any eevee evolutions.

The thing is V, people look at Miju2 and instantly say "oh, that looks like a samurai". Then they look at Miju3 and say "uh, it looks like a lapras mixed with a unicorn". The general impression of a samurai helmet is one that actually looks like the kind of samurai helmet from popular culture, something that looks like a fancy ornate helmet.

Anyways, as much as i'd like to continue discussing this with you, V, I really can't right now because of classes till 9. Being in class deprives me of evidence I can use in a debate. Right now, I'm on my phone. So I'll continue later after I get back home.

Yeah I don't think the pig being on the chinese zodiac means anything since there are a lot of other animals also on there. Though I can see the Chinese aspect of it. I hope the starter evos aren't real because I despise Pokabu's evos and hopefully they're not another fire/fighting

GASP! And so is the monkey and the chicken!

haha what a coincidence

And Charizard is considered the Dragon while Typhlosion the Dog(to some).

I never said "exactly like [the concept]."

I'd like to see pigs depicted like that in Chinese art. I wouldn't know how to find such a thing. If they are depicting something else as well, I don't see how it is Chinese.

Technically the Hound Soldier, king liger, zeek dober or even Storm Sworder would have worked better as an example, concept wise.

Anyways..hmm I could swear I've seen designs like on the pig somewhere before :/
