The thing is V, people look at Miju2 and instantly say "oh, that looks like a samurai". Then they look at Miju3 and say "uh, it looks like a lapras mixed with a unicorn". The general impression of a samurai helmet is one that actually looks like the kind of samurai helmet from popular culture, something that looks like a fancy ornate helmet.
People are free to believe what they want to, including you (which should be obvious). What I'm doing is providing evidence to the contrary. I'm trying to get you to see a perspective that could actually work from a design standpoint, even if you still aren't going to care for the starters.

Also, I really don't want to continue this debate, because there's nothing to debate. The connections I made aren't going to change. Only when we see official footage or screenshots will the guesswork end (and open up all new dialogue for us to discuss).

Yeah, I'd like to see more Pokemon instead of discussing quasi-fake starter Pokemon...

next fire starter is a tiger

I called it

I don't know about a starter, but I would love a fire tiger. One that doesn't have the shape of a dog.

EDIT: oh, and are they letting us talk about the starters again? I've seen several people talking about them.

Okay, it's all but confirmed that the starters are real now. In the magazine article that was to come out today, Ken Sugimori makes a comment about combing a sea otter and sea lion to make the final water starter stage.

At first I was quite disappointed about this news, but then I looked up sea lions, and then it all started to make sense to me. This has made the mijumaru line my favorite of the water starters. It took awhile for me to accept him though, since I had this gut feeling that it was fake ever since the art came out :[

EDIT: Now that they're practically confirmed, people are now speculating the 6th gen starters. WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED |3

Hmm, this might've already been said, but I assume the grass-sheep is probably a clever poke at the fact cotton looks quite a bit like wool...in a way.

Also, I assume the western-thing about Tsutaaja was referring to the fact people mentioned its final form had a devilish appearance, perhaps a reference to the satanic snake and such? Either way, the design on its body definitely looks very...I guess you could say gothic, to me.

As for Pokabu, I wonder if it's supposed to bring to mind the pig-guy from Journey to The West? That'd be pretty neat since we've already got the Monkey King.

I'd like to see pigs depicted like that in Chinese art. I wouldn't know how to find such a thing. If they are depicting something else as well, I don't see how it is Chinese.

All I can think of are those weird Chinese masks made to look like demons.

If these starters are fake, everything Melkor has revealed is fake too.
This week is make it or break it. I love a good drama like this.

Before I order the popcorn, let's get a vote: Salted or sweet?

If these starters are fake, this may the the biggest upset in the history of the fanbase, because like Ryuutakeshi said it'd mean everything Melkor told us is fake. Sweet XD.

Gingerbread Man sure is cute. I'm thinking Melkor's information is valid.

Salted, of course.

But sweet if you mean the outcome to this drama.

That would be an interesting turn, to say the least.

Aw, I love the little sheep thing. I guess the first one without limbs is supposed to be like the cotton before it's picked. These are one that I hope are real. And there's the little guy that was running around in the video too.

Nothing Melkor has told or showed us has really interested me. I'd be very happy if everything he told us turned out to be fake - but it won't. :|

I don't know, I kind of hope the stuff is real...sure, I can't say these designs exactly thrill me (although I have no doubt they'll look better when we see official artwork), except for Yanappu's evolution and perhaps the centipede since I've wanted a centipede forever, and some of the ones he's described but we haven't seen sound cool like the judo one and the , and if these are fake that means we have 20+ more Pokemon again to discover, but at the same time I think it would just cause a lot of bad vibes for awhile.

I guess real or fake, it's a win-win situation for me, but I'm sure a lot of people don't see it that way...

On a lighter note, here's some fanart I found showing how Miju3 could possibly use its horn as a sword...http://browse.deviantart.com/?order=5&q=mijumaru#/d2y9jv4

See, here's the thing. Completely aside from my personal opinions about the things he's told us, I can't understand why he would do something like this. He'll be the single most hated person in the entire fandom if he's lying (well some people will be thrilled because they hate the new Pokés, but they'll still be mad at him for making them up in the first place). What could he possibly gain from all this? To be honest, I would personally be happy if it weren't real (although I like the starter evos, their typings suck), but I just can't bring myself to accept that possibility because it makes no logical sense to me. *sigh* I guess we'll know soon enough...

Wow. Standing up and with the shell in its hand... makes it look like a samurai so much more. I'm convinced. Didn't think fanart could convince me.
