Basura-oh doesn't evolve? Damn it all to hell... ! That thing looked like it would've made an awesome evolution.

Yeah about that I got confused, the list with all confirmed Pokemon is half of the apparent Pokemon, but take away and it isn't half.

So chalk it up as confusion then.

.

That's because we "know" of 84 new Pokemon, which is half the amount of what there should be in the end, 156.
The dex is "revealed" up to #54 until now. Pokemon like Basurao or Zoroark have no # yet. Just sayin'. :crush:

So it seems Gear's evolutions are just... more gears. Wow. What a shock.

I still don't see any reason to believe Melkor. It's not that I'm pissed off about these, indeed, I like all of the supposed starter evolutions, but that there's no reason for me to trust anything Melkor says. If it's fake, it's a fairly elaborate hoax, but people are capable of constructing complex lies for no other reason than their personal entertainment.
I do admit that I would like to see Serebii knocked off his high horse. And the ensuing shitstorm if this were proved fake would be GLORIOUS.

Well there's your first mistake right there. It's not part Fighting, and no one defending the evos as real ever said it was.

Okay:

1. That part you quoted actually had somewhat little to do with Mijumaru's final evolution (although the comment was based on Mijumaru's final evolution). What I meant was I can see a quadruped fighting type. But if (guess you missed that implication in my last post) Mijumaru's final evolution is, it doesn't make sense to me.

2. I don't see why something supposedly based off a samurai would not be part fighting or at the very least dual typed. Being pure water and being based on a Samurai makes no sense to me at all. The only thing I can think of is that someone higher in power than Ken Sugimori cheated Mijumaru of a dual typing for whatever lazy ass stupid reason. You'd think if Ken Sugimori was going to base Mijumaru on a samurai he would have thought fighting type.

Yes I suppose take away the hypothetical fighting type and I suppose the final evolution makes more sense, but it still doesn't make shell blade make any sense. Since even regardless of its typing, shell blade still would not work properly. I don't care if it's a fighting type or not (in this argument), the illogics of using shell blade correctly in a battle with what we know still stand.

Sword Helmet + Quadruped + Shell blade possibilities regardless of typing makes no sense. It would still make Mijumaru's final evolution clumsy and slow, which honestly in my opinion defeats the purpose of shell blade completely. What's the point of a move like shell blade if Mijumaru's final evolution is too clumsy and slow to use it properly. Mijumaru and its direct evolution make shell blade make perfect sense. Then you hit the sea lion/ giant otter thing, and it's not shell blade anymore, it's either "Shell not-going-to-hit-you blade" or it becomes "Shell Stabbing-you-to-death-er"

So he had the cat early by magic?

No well-respected webmaster would put in such an effort into tainting his own reputation by trolling the Pokemon community like this - period. Melkor is telling the truth; to deny this is ignorant, at this point.

I'm still confused how he seemed to know (unless he just got lucky) that the cat would be randomly leaked in the background of a video no one was really expecting.

So it seems Gear's evolutions are just... more gears. Wow. What a shock.
Hmm...where did you see this? I don't know if you saw my post, but that was just speculation on my part.

You've seen the way they type Pokemon in the past. It never goes the way you think or the way you want.

Case in point: Luxray not being a Electric/Dark type. Plus others.

Being disappointed that something hasn't been typed the way we would like isn't anything new. I really want it to be a dual-typed Pokemon, but if it's not I'll chock it up to a difference in design philosophies.

I don't think that proves anything beyond the fact that he got his hands on one piece of legitimate information. It's a typical con artist trick, show the mark one true thing, and they're more likely to believe every other thing you say is true. Maybe I'm too hardened by the torrent of bullshit we've had to deal with leading up to the B/W release, but in the case of non-official Pokemon news, FAKE UNTIL PROVEN REAL.

The Stig sold his job for £250,000, so, who knows? Or perhaps Melkor's source is being a troll?

Or maybe this is an illusion and we're really Pokémon talking about humans

Seems we have Turnips's evo...

549: Grass Lady Pokémon. She wears a flower hat with crown. Big leaf on the back. Her dress is a leaf bulb, with 2 dark green leaves as arms
Would go great with King Tsutarja.

@-ryuutakeshi-: wait, what? Gear's evolutions are revealed?!
No, but Hiro claims its 2nd and 3rd form don't have much difference...well, I think Gear's first evolution is more distinct, but its final form doesn't change much.

You know that Face-Heel Turn isn't just a tvtrope, right? He could very well be tricking us elaborately. You don't know this guy personally, he COULD be doing this for no other reason than his own entertainment. You never know.

I don't think that proves anything beyond the fact that he got his hands on one piece of legitimate information.

He claimed the starter evolutions were real, and later proved to Serebii, WPM, and PokeJungle they were. He also revealed the silhouette of the cat Pokemon before it was shown on the Sunday preview.

There's also the fact Melkor would ruin his reputation for lying. It wouldn't matter if he was unknown, but he's in actuality very well-known with the Pokemon community.

Maybe I'm too hardened by the torrent of bullshit we've had to deal with leading up to the B/W release, but in the case of non-official Pokemon news, FAKE UNTIL PROVEN REAL.

And you're free to believe that, but when you take everything into consideration, you realize there's no chance Melkor is lying.

You don't know this guy personally, he COULD be doing this for no other reason than his own entertainment.

It doesn't help he was right about the cat and Serebii personally believes him, alongside others.

We've actually got very very very few confirmed fakes in the leadup to bw.

Where was this from? It's not on PokeJungle.
