This was a couple of pages back (not to mention from some random person with no credibility), but the Gear having an ability-based split evo is false. Melkor said there aren't any split evos..

That was a random assumption I made about two weeks ago in this topic. It was speculation, not to be taken as fact.

Wait, no, I didn't say it, but I liked the idea. I have confused myself. (Went digging through my post log...)

@Hoze: Emonga is an Electric/Flying, lol.

Haha, true. If it looks anything like this, I have nothing to worry about.

If it's true, does that mean it can't learn roost?

I believe that Game Freak would see this possibility, and their solution would be to only remove the secondary Flying type if the move is used and not if the primary type is. I think it's overlooked in the 4th Generation, so they have time to fix that.

Anyone else glad that the Fighting trio are most likely Quadrupeds? Seems like Miju3 would have been PERFECT for the Water/Fighting Legendary. Wait a minute.....

Hola!

B.Dragon on SerebiiForums has compiled a list of all the things Hiro, Melkor said... Some of them are already known, while some are new. Here's the list. :)

- The 2 Fossils are a Turtle and a Bird.
- Mamepato's final stage has an alternate forme.
- Kibago's evolutinoray line is pure Dragon.
- Kibago's final stage is Ononokusu.
- Doryuuzu is Ground/Steel.
- Tabunne is Normal.
- The 3rd Dragon's color isn't grey.
- Dark/Dragon line of Pokemon.
- There is a Water/Ghost and a Fire/Ghost.
- The skeleton seen in the video is from an already known Pokemon.
- 8 Gyms, Aloe is Normal, no Dark Gym and no Rock Gym.
- Gochiruzeru doesn't evolve. may or may not have a pre-evolution.
- Desukan and Denchura have pre-evolutions.
- The won't be a Dolphin Pokemon.
- There's nothing that resembles a T-Rex.
- Pokemon number 600 is a Steel Type and Gear's first evolution.
- Gear's 3rd stage and Chillarmy's evolution are, in his opinion, the worst evos (and Pokemon) on this gen. He says the problem with Gear from 2nd to 3rd stage is that it doesn't change much.
- Basurao doesn't get an evolution.
- Shikijika evolves (only once) and it's evolution also changes with seasons.
- The blue "blob" (octopus) has an evolution.
- Ground Gym to replace Rock.
- No Poison Gym.
- No split-evo Pokemon.
- There is a Fire/Bug Pokemon.
- There is a Polar Bear with two stages. Cute and Fierce (Evo).
- Denchura is Electric/Bug.
- There is a Dark/Fighting type.
- One Pokemon of one of the trios will be pure Flying.
- Mamanbou doesn't have pre or an evolution.
EDIT:
- The Fighting Trio are similar to horses, but not the last (#639).
- #648 has a girl/feminine shape (I don't understand if it is human shape or just a girly shape :p) with a mane. Its alternate form is also "girl" but has a hat that hides the mane and because of that "she" looks like a male.

Wow! The rumours spread so fact in the past two hours that I cannot catch up with that! I forgot to give my opinions on the typing reveals.

Pure Flying is a new. It took FIVE generations to get that, a record! Ice and Steel took 3 generations, while Rock and Ghost took 2 (Dark don't count because it's introduced then). Extra points for being a legend. The Fighting trio is new, because we never have a Fighting legendary before. Two of them are new, and hopefully the Steel/Fighting one outclasses Lucario. The Rock/Fighting is new, and I believe the Pokemon will be a great attacker since this combination is blessed for offence. At this point, Poison is the only one without a legendary, and if it takes seven generations to get one, I will be hysterical on the inside!

CRAP. This and the polar bear were the last main two I wanted.

Oh well, hopefully for the gen 6 starter.

You know how there was Heatran and Regigigas between Dialga and Palkia in 4th generation? So if this Dragon/Ice is indeed 3rd pokemon of Zekrom/Reshiram, then it would make sense if something was in between.

Also, Im not liking the pure Flying legendary. Simply because everybody wanted it. Also, apparently there's a Bug legendary, but I'm not liking it because its supposedly Big/Steel. We already have Forretress, Scizor and Wormadam with that stupid typing, why another one AND legendary? x.x

I wasn't talking about you; I guess someone stole your idea and claimed it as fact a few pages back. Melkor (or Hiro, or whoever... I can't keep track of everyone involved in this whole operation lol) said that Gear evolves twice, and that both evos were very similar. This person claimed they were two alternate evos of Gear based on its ability rather than one evolving from the other. I was just pointing out that there are no split evos according to Melkor. Not that anyone believed this guy anyway, I figured I'd shoot that one down just in case.

Pure flying type? How does that work?
Wouldn't Roost and Gravity make them ??? type? Weird.
EDIT: Could become normal type. That would make some sort of sense.

At least we might finally get some fighting type legendaries.

It's cool. I think I was wrong about me being the one to come with that anyways. Greatly disappointed that it probably isn't the case. Would have been God Tier. Also would have given a great reason to keep one of each ability with you.

My guess for the reasoning behind splitting up the trios is that the third members are only obtainable post-league. Along with the obvious role of the Ice/Dragon, I would also hazard a guess that the Ground/Flying guy has a major role in the third game (kind of like Suicune in Crystal). Then again, they didn't need to stick Heatran after Dialga and Palkia since it was ALSO post-League - my OCD was not pleased with that lol. Nor is it pleased with Victini being #494, but whatever.

I wish the Poison-type got a Legendary. Like an anti-Suicune kind of thing that causes crazy amounts of pollution.

EDIT: Appearantly #648, the Normal/Psychic Legendary has an alternate forme as a Normal/Fighting.
