Geez, what a crapton of new legendaries. Who else remembers the days when legendary pokemon were actually, y'know, legends?
Who says these are any different than legends? How many Greek or Hindu gods to people believe in? Just because there are more of them, doesn't mean they're any less significant or Legendary. In fact, I prefer some of the newer ones to the first Gen; these are quite unique and original.

Yeah, I do...

But, we don't know anything about the legendaries but their types and numbers and what they're possibly based on. Don't automatically assume that these legendaries won't have legends surrounding them.

Could be, I just hope he isn't talking about the supposed "Rasta" monkey. You KNOW the americans are going to shit bricks over that.

The times I've been to Japan, it was obvious to see that there is a lot of Caribbean culture there. A lot of Japanese kids in the streets that I saw had locks and they even have foods and drinks in the Caribbean like this drink that you can buy at a convenience store called "Jamaica." They even have a genre of music called "Japanese Reggae," so to say that the "rasta" style only exists in America would be a lie because the style is VERY popular over there.

Hmm, I wouldn't be surprised if all three of the 'Appu evolutions are sporting their own unique doo, although there's no mention of the fire one having a notable hair style, but perhaps Melkor did not recognize it.

It should have a mullet.

Where did I state that this style only exists in America? I see it all the time when I go to beach in Brisbane. When I lived in Pretoria I saw tons of people wearing Rasta everyday. Not to mention the number of people in South America and Jamaiaca. I was just saying that someone, somewhere is going to see that as a stereotype.

It damn well better have a Fire mohawk to make up for Pokabu's evo not having one - -"

I can say honestly that I don't care about which legendaries you liked. My comment was not actually about the type of legendaries we get. It was about the number - I just worded the question oddly.

Something tells me you've said this same exact thing before.

I have. When I complain, I complain. :p

yes because Mewtwo is an actual legend...

It was once. Instead we've been trained to expect God to count as a legend and things like GIANT ELEMENTAL BIRDS to be downgraded.

Yeah, I do...

But, we don't know anything about the legendaries but their types and numbers and what they're possibly based on. Don't automatically assume that these legendaries won't have legends surrounding them.

It was really a comment about the quantity. I'm tired of having so many. Can't we have a gen without all the fluff for once?

The birds had absolutely no legends about them. Anything legendary about them was invented for the anime. There's like one nameless NPC who mentions them and that's it.

Honestly, I don't care about the stories we're told. The subtle things that require Fridge Logic (Like Parasect being a mind-controlled Paras) are more interesting than any forced story. Again, my comment wasn't meant to say that the new legends have no story. It was meant to say that there are too many new legends.

You've not only broken the record, you've snapped it, burned it, tossed it in the trash, set the trash on fire, and threw all of it over a cliff.

Considering I haven't posted regularly in this section for a while, I'm almost flattered that you remembered.

Why? Why would anyone associate a monkey with rasta hair with black people of all things!?

You can't associate rasta with black people since it's a religion with many ethnicities.

It's almost as dumb as people who say Islam = arab.
