Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

Because mushrooms have tails, legs, the tiny arms, a head, etc., .. It's a mix. Pokemans can be based off of more than one thing.

Yes, but a Kangaroo? How did you get that?

Maybe the green radiation pokemon can be a Muk evolution.

Re: What new "kinds" of Pokemon do you predict?

It's legs, arms and tail are based off of a kangaroo.

PokeDex entries:

Ruby said:
Breloom closes in on its foe with light and sprightly footwork, then throws punches with its stretchy arms. This Pokémon's fighting technique puts boxers to shame.

Kangaroo:

Wiki said:
Kangaroos are the only large animals to use hopping as a means of locomotion. The comfortable hopping speed for Red Kangaroo is about 20-25km/h (13–16 mph), but speeds of up to 70 km/h (44 mph) can be attained, over short distances, while it can sustain a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) for nearly two kilometres.

Kangaroos and wallabies have large, stretchy tendons in their hind legs. They store elastic strain energy in the tendons of their large hind legs, providing most of the energy required for each hop by the spring action of the tendons rather than by any muscular effort. This is true in all animal species which have muscles connected to their skeleton through elastic elements such as tendons, but the effect is more pronounced in kangaroos.

Kangaroos are shy and retiring by nature, and in normal circumstances present no threat to humans. Male kangaroos often "box" amongst each other, playfully, for dominance, or in competition for mates. The dexterity of their forepaws is used in both punching and grappling with the foe, but the real danger lies in a serious kick with the hindleg. The sharpened hind claws can disembowel an opponent.

Basically, Breloom is an abstract version of the kangaroo. It's not a mammal, it's not a marsupial, and it's arms stretch. But we know it can box, bounce around, and tail-whack anything that gets near it. Those traits are the key things it received from the kangaroo, but that's about it. They changed its species to be more reptilian (especially with those 2-clawed toes) to make it seem more alien than it actually is.

Muk isn't Bright Green nor is it based on radiation.

It is a large blob based on pollution (Toxic sludge). It seems redundant to just color it green and label it a new pokemon.

I'm sure we'll get some new canids, so I'm none too worried about that, but I would love to see a Tofu Kozo-based Pokemon. It would be grass-poison and probably a gimmic Pokemon like Rotom/Castform/etc.

What do you think?

Isn't Muk's Shiny form green?

Yes, it is. Even more redundant.

I'd like to get a Goat pokemon. the closest we've gotten in a sheep with Mareep, unless I'm forgetting something.

I so agree! Even more specific, an ibex. To have a pure Rock type ibex would be amazing.

Ewww, please, no!

Wait...Roadrunner and Coyote? Why do I get the feeling that, if they were included, one of the in-game double battles (with Twins or something) would feature them both?

A Centipede would be amazing beyond all reason.

Oh, and a Fire Ant. We need a Fire/Bug type anyway.

Yes! Coyote and Roadrunner battles would be fantastic. (AcmeCorpShipping?)

xD It's funny that all of these are also "Illinois themed" Pokemon, barring the roadrunner, ringtail, and armadillo.

Why would anyone forget the awesomeness that is the tumbleweed Pokemon! We must have that if we include all the Texan/Illinois-themed Pokes.

Grass/Ghost could be a cool combo.

Ground/Poison? A land-based Gligar perhaps?

I was thinking more Rock than Ground, since Rattlers often appear in rocky terrain. And there's no Rock/Poison, while there are Ground/Poison (Nidoqueen and King), so we increase the variety of type combos.
