Hiro says there is a Fairy-type much stronger than Geomancy, but Geomancy has 130 power. If he is saying the truth, I wonder how strong this other Fairy-type move is.

I like the part he talks about a feature allowing re-battle against trainers.

A fairy-type Hyper Beam variant?

Re: Rumour Discussion and Speculation

Well, what I'm asking is, is that the real Hirobyte?

Well, who knows? I don't think we really have any way of knowing for sure if it's the same guy.
I sent him a tweet. Let's see what he says.

Eh... you do realize that Hirobyte erased his twitter account two weeks ago do you?
His twitter is back now.

Can I get a link? Cause I keep looking for it with no results.

You certainly can: twitter.com/hirobyte

The Hiro in the comments isn't Hirobyte, I think.

Re: Rumour Discussion and Speculation

Geomancy doesn't even seem to be an attacking move. In fact, there's no confirmation that they are Fairy-type and Dark-type damaging moves, respectively. They are most likely such, but Geomancy isn't shown making contact with the opponent. It simply flashes seven-colored lights from underground and then dissipates. I don't see why they'd cut out the rest of the animation if there was more to it. So, this 'Hiro' on PokeJungle who is more than likely either faking his identity or just happens to have the same name, is already making shaky claims when he says that Geomancy and Obilivion Wing are 130 power.

Re: Rumour Discussion and Speculation

That would be interesting- there're only a few non-damaging legendary signature moves, and none that are the counterpart to a damaging move.

Re: Rumour Discussion and Speculation

Oblivion Wing seems to be a Fly-type move in that you're protected for one turn then strike the next. Only question: Is it going to be like Giratina's Shadow Force which can totally pierce through Protect/Detect? It's a shame to see a signature move blocked so easily just because it requires a turn to warm up.

Oblivion Wing doesn't seem to be a move like Fly. Geomancy might be a stat raiser.

I clicked the awaiting moderation thing, and the poster was named "IAMTHELEAKER"
Sounds familiar.

Re: Rumour Discussion and Speculation

The Hiro that is in the Pokéjungle comments is not Hirobyte. Someone is only using the name to spread false rumors.

Re: Rumour Discussion and Speculation

The Bulbapedia pages for the moves do state that they are Dark type (Death Wing/Oblivion Wing) and Fairy Type (Geo Control/Geomancy) and that they both do damage.

Re: Rumour Discussion and Speculation

If Geomancy/Oblivion Wing aren't attacking moves, my bet is that Geomancy is stat increasing for the user, and oblivion wing decreases stats on the opponent (seeing as it makes contact with them). Which would fit kind of into the whole Xerneas giving life thing, and Yveltal taking it away. I dunno

Re: Rumour Discussion and Speculation

I'd find it hard to believe a move named Oblivion Wing wouldn't do damage. Not saying it's impossible, but the animation even shows it hitting the foe and the foe Pokemon getting hurt.

Oblivion Wing seems to be a HP-draining move. Is there any footage of Geomancy being used against Pokémon besides the trailer?
