While I was hoping for a larger number of new Pokemon, I like the designs of most of the ones we got. And it sounds like there's plenty to do, game-wise. So, still looking forward to the release.

Totally not complaining over the lack of legendaries. They've made enough legendaries the past two generations to last us until Gen VIII. Let's pretend the Sacred Swordsmen are actually the trio for Kalos and they were vacationing in Unova.

Well, the Three Musketeers ARE French in origin after all, so it makes sense that they could be the actual trio from Kalos, while the Kami trio is the native trio for Unova.

Not to mention the Honedge family does learn Sacred Sword, which hints at a Kalosian origin for the Musketeer Quartet.

I think we might have another Legendary Pokemon.

For example, there is a single smaller cave out in the middle of Pokémon X and Y’s ocean called the Sea Spirit’s Den, which consists of just one room. Presumably, this room will be of importance later (you don’t just leave a blank, open space like that for nothing), but what struck me when I entered this space for the first time was just how moody it was. The complete silence, and then the drip-drop sound of water droplets, creating their own music.

It makes me wonder if they are going to make a Norse Mithology Sea Monster them. Could be the Wyrm even tough it's location don't really fit him, maybe this room leads you somewhere else?

It'll probably work similar to how the Victini event worked back in Black/White. Reckon we might get a short storyline with it as well, whatever Pokemon it is.

@Zeb Aw dang. But thanks anyway.

Dragon pokemons are beginning to increase, they're losing their novelty-trophy-special factor for me.

I feel like that was GF's goal... To get Dragon types off their golden pedestal by saying "Yo, something is immune to you nao. You ain't so great no mo." So I'd say they're doing a really good job pushing Dragon types into equality.

Someone mentioned earlier that Flabébé were scattered around Kalos to restore it after it was destroyed by Yveltal.....reminds me of Koroks. Between that and Phantump being similar to Skullkids and Honedge's Zelda-ish design (more the WW type swords), there seems to be a lot of potential Zelda references.

That's makes more sense, thank you! :)

Has anyone leaked any new Mega Evolutions yet, the last new one we saw was Mega Gardevoir, and I still want to see more, especially Mega Floatzel if there is one.

Yes, they do a really good job making Dragons not seem special by making most of the pseudo-legendaries more accessible as if that changes the fact they're pseudo-legendary (Dratini was pretty accessible early on in RBY and GSC thanks to Game Corner) and making more Dragons, like another pseudo-legendary Goodra. Let's not forget Mega Garchomp and Mega Charizard X, and if Mega Mewtwo Y's potential 100 point increase in BST is any indication, are powerful beasts.

Really, all Game Freak did was superficially make them seem less powerful by increasing their frequency while at the same time making even more powerful Dragons (but that's okay! We have fairies and a mist now! We can go overboard all we want!). Noivern, being at the end of the dex could potentially be powerful, so the only Dragon that might be weak is Dragalge. Dragon types are anything but equal, they're getting special treatment to the point that an entirely new weather condition was created specifically to weaken them. If that's not special, I don't know what is.

More or less this ^^ It seems like every third new pokémon this generation is a Dragon of some stripe (I know that's not technically true, it's just an impression). I could have done without another Dragon-type seahorse

I wanted more new Water, Grass, Electric, Flying, Ground, Bug, Fire, Ice Pokemons though. But I'm fine with what we got, not really satisfied is all.

Small, picky detail. According to this reviewer, Flash has a completely different effect in x and y.

I'm okay with their being fewer new pokemon. A lot of the designs are well made, and I'd rather have fewer but well designed pokemon than tons of badly designed filler pokemon that I'm never going to use. Quality over quantity is how I see it.

Absolutely this. I think I disliked Pokemon Black so much because you basically had a bunch of sub par Pokemon shoved in your face with none of your favourites. BW2 introduces Pokemon from old gens much quicker which I really liked. I think I only have one gen five Pokemon on my team and that's Hydreigon haha
So i'm guessing Haxourus, Reshiram, Mienshao, Serperior, Bisharp, Scolipede, Samurott, Gothitelle, Krookodile, Eelektross, Cobalion, Cofagrigus, Reuniclus, Accelgor, Chandelure, Archeops, Keldeo, Bouffalant, Terrakion, Virizion, Emboar, Volcarona, Braviary, Beartic, Heatmor, Zekrom, Seismitoad and Escavaliar all counts as "subpar" right?

Please don't take this as me trying to shoot down your opinion but, i'd rather have a bunch new Pokemon shoved in my face than a bunch of old ones that i've used for years, that what's i like about Black and White forced you to adopt a new strategy.

Too bad the majority of those you listed are caught so late in the game (and you're not even forced to run through Axew's cave, so you could miss it entirely if you didn't know it was there). At least XY seems to let you have a good selection early on.

Same, there are too many Ghost types, too many Fairies (NEW Fairies, not older Pokemon that have become Fairy), and not enough Ice types in Gen 6.

Pure fairy.

Regarding Goodra's type, is it pure dragon or there's a secondary type? If it has been said, I'm sorry maybe I missed it.

Thanks! Kinda hoped it'd be Fairy/Grass though. Same with Goodra, I'd like it more if it was Dragon/Fairy or something. Oh well.

If I will get the game, I will get Pokemon Y, so maybe we can trade there. ;D

Great! Although, iirc, we'll be able to search for any Pokemon on the GTS in XY, so I might just do that.

I'm happy. GF will never please everyone and like others have said, I'll take a smaller amount of new pokemon than a ton of filler.
