Rumours/Fakes/Leaks Discussion Thread (V2)

Lol at "I heard that 4chan is the most used website to display info and i have a few things thay u might wanna know."

Also, I don't see Ultra Evolutions being a thing (let alone for Greninja) and Alolan variants for the Johto starters and beasts would be dumb. Some Pokemon are too tied to their region.

The mega evo for the kalos starters sounds pretty bad and fake, but some other thing...i don't know why but they look legit :v Not everything...but just some of them (The ninetails lillie form,IF IT'S TRUE,that might work like the ash greninja form,we had a little anime cameo in Sun/Moon,so- lmao)

I admit that some leaks had been right on. I wonder if GF should take stronger steps to avoid leaks from happening.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, I was too lazy to look through the whole thread. I heard a rumor or something regarding USUM on TV Tropes. According to them (I think it was on "The Fandom Rejoiced" section of Pokemon Sun/Moon TV Tropes, though I'd have to double-check), USUM will be a full reboot of SM, meaning the plot will be largely the same with some obvious tweaks here and there. While that means that we'll be playing virtually the exact same story over again with modifications, making it akin to a 3rd version, it does make some sense that it would be hard for GF to top SM's story with a brand new one. That's one reason why I felt B2W2 fell short of BW due to the former's plot being less "powerful" than the latter's, as it was more like a tie-up-loose-ends game. While I know that TV Tropes is a wiki of sorts, which means I'm talking this rumor very tenderly, I do feel that there is some possibility that USUM will be a reboot of SM, since from what we've seen so far seems to indicate that we're going in that direction. After all, the PCs in USUM looks very similar to SM PCs, just less generic, and it looks like we'll be starting out in the same house as SM did, as all the decorations and such looked identical to SM. So, in a sense, we may end up with a double dose of 3rd version deja vu. Again, I'm taking it lightly, but my suspicions are getting high that this may be the case. Just thought I'd bring this up, and again I apologize if this has been mentioned before, as I was too lazy to look through the whole thread.

We don't know what USUM are for sure yet. TV Tropes is jumping to conclusions.

the text in question

"Full on reboot" seems a little generous to me. I definitely don't see the games as worthy of that definition more than ORAS, and as the paragraph notes, those games did not really shake up the original story.

Mmm,found an interesting leak on 4chan...

I really hope that some things from this leak will be real,a fire groud typhlosion with a volcano on his back *-*
Sounds a little believable, but I'm not buying it.

I don't see US/UM as the reboot of SM. I do see them as "alternate story".

Alolan forms for Johto legendaries sounds hella fake to me.
Legendaries are supposed to be so rare that most games only can have 1 of each.
They are supposed to be like gods in the Pokemon world.
So why do they need to evolve and adapt to the Alolan environment?

PS: I find it funny how she's actually drawing the Pokemon now.

Sounds fake AF to me, megas for Delphox & Chesnaught (not ultras for some reason?) but not for Greninja, and instead Greninja gets an Ultra form on top of its Ash-Greninja form? sure, jan

also, 2 new ultra beasts? as cool as that'd be, new mons aren't added mid-gen.

Fake!

They could just add Megas if the fandom didn't like Z-Moves enough. No need for Ultra Evolution for Pokémon that aren't related to the UBs.
I don't see why Johto Starters would have Alolan Formes. Starters are supposed to not even be available in the wild (with some exceptions).
Legendaries don't need to adapt to new environments given they are supposed to represent natural forces.
All "leaks" are fake for me until proven true.

Looks more like a fanfic than a rumour or a leak.

Even though this is probably fake, it will promote some great discussion for a little while at least.
