A pre-evo for Solgaleo and Lunala would make a lot of sense. That would explain the weird (glass-like?) forehead they both share.

Precisely. They are clearly putting a lot of thought into the background behind the designs in this generation, so it would not surprise me at all to see that Solgaleo and Lunala's shared space-face is a deliberate indication that they are rooted in a common element of some kind. With the older mascot pairs, the commonality between them was always more on the subtle side - even Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza's power lines (and now Greek letters) were customized to their respective builds. The cosmic forehead of these two, however, is a prominent feature that is identical in its placement and function within their designs.

Like Aromatic Mist said, it's highly unlikely that all of the following will not evolve:

-Komala
-Salandit
-Wimpod
-Bounsweet
-Morelull
-Pyukumuku
-Jangmo-o
-Minior

(That is not to say these all will either, but these are the ones I expect to evolve and I would not believe at least half wouldn't)

It's not that the list is "fishy", it's more that it's just how it was made. Likely the riddler only wanting to leak certain things or only show for some pokemon how many are in their evolutionary line.

The only one from that list I think has a chance of not evolving is Pyukumuku....and mainly because it looks like it could be one of those odd Pokemon that inexplicably don't evolve even though they look like they should. (like Carbink)

Dialga and palkia shared the same face, but not because they had a pre evo, that because the both came from arceus. Azelf, mespirit and uxie´s bodies are exactly the same, thats because they came from the same egg. I dont like the idea of pre evos for mascot legendaries, they should be unique beings. Its much cooler to find a big beast than a smaller pre evo. I want to face a big solgaleo, not a small lion cub, whatever. Legendaries cant breed, and shouldnt be able to breed because they should be rare.

However, for some legendaries, i think there could be pre evos if the item that make them evolve is rare. I dont want it for solgaleo and lunala, however. It would be better if they "discovered" a way to evolve some pokemon we already know in legendaries with very rare items.
Ex: Phione to manaphy
carbink to diancie
vaporeon, jolteon and flareon to suicune, raikou and entei.

Guys, isn't the glass head where Solgaleo's and Lunala's third eyes are located and just a reference to their Psychic-typing?

Dialga and palkia shared the same face, but not because they had a pre evo, that because the both came from arceus.

But having the same eyes and broadly similar faces is on a much lower magnitude of connection than having the exact same "glass forehead with holographic display" feature, which is exactly what I meant when I talked about past mascot pairs having much more subtle, less prominent design similarities.

I want to face a big solgaleo, not a small lion cub, whatever.

We don't know under what circumstances this pre-evolution would appear, but it should be very obvious from the scene at the shrine that we are still going to face a proper Solgaleo/Lunala.

Legendaries cant breed, and shouldnt be able to breed because they should be rare.

If this is a concern over their artificial rarity in terms of game mechanics, they could easily put both the pre-evolution and Solgaleo/Lunala into the Undiscovered Egg Group, so that we only get to obtain one "Lunaleo" and then evolve it, and are unable to breed more from Solgaleo/Lunala.

If it is a concern over their in-unverse rarity, we already know that at least some Legendary Pokémon breed, so it's a moot point.

Guys, isn't the glass head where Solgaleo's and Lunala's third eyes are located and just a reference to their Psychic-typing?

We don't know nearly enough about them to say that the third eye reference is the extent of it.

Besides, that wouldn't necessarily warrant them sharing the exact same physical feature. For instance, Dialga and Palkia both contain gems in their bodies, but the placement of those gems within their designs is completely different (Dialga has one gem in its chestplate, but Palkia has two on either shoulder). Xerneas and Yveltal reference the letters X and Y, except it's by way of being based on unrelated creatures that happen to resemble those letters (and to further illustrate the lack of identicality between them, Xerneas's eyes contain Xs, but Yveltal's eyes are blank - in fact, Yveltal doesn't figure any additional Ys into its design aside from its overall body shape).

Not Revealed/ Not leaked evolutions are denoted by a '?' Sign. Just look between Litten and Litten3 and the marks where Pikipek2 and 3 are supposed to be.
There's question marks becuase the Evolutions are known to exist, they just haven't been leaked/revealed. The starters are both obviously going to have middle evos, and Pikipek's Pokédex showed two Evolutions after it. I doubt that none of Morelull, Jangmo-o, Minior, Comfey or Bounsweet will evolve tbh.

In one of the previous Riddler pictures there's no space between Cutiefly and Togedemaru despite the fact we now know Cutiefly has an evo. These Riddler pictures keep track of the pokemon we know exist so far and nothing more, I think (or there might be a really obscure hint somewhere in all this...)

Just wanted to back @Aromatic Mist up on this one!

Also, Wimpod evolutions are mentioned in most leaks, but we haven't got the '?' sign there.
I'm feeling something fishy with this list...

You're doubting the Riddler (one of our only credible leakers) because of some fake 4chan leaks? :p

However, for some legendaries, i think there could be pre evos if the item that make them evolve is rare. I dont want it for solgaleo and lunala, however. It would be better if they "discovered" a way to evolve some pokemon we already know in legendaries with very rare items.

The Eevolutions evolving into the Johto beasts is a "stretch", to put it generously, and I'm kind of okay with Phione not evolving into Manaphy, but I could definitely support Carbink evolving into Diancie (and hell, Phione evolving into Manaphy).

Oh yeah, I forgot to address that. The "Eeveelutions became the Beasts" thing is pure fanon, so I wouldn't really factor that in to any technical discussion.

Personally, I don't mind the evolutionary disconnect between Manaphy/Phione or Carbink/Diancie. The former is just a nice, unique quirk that keeps things diverse, and the latter makes sense - natural diamonds are formed from carbon under very specific circumstances, and that wouldn't be translated as well if any old Carbink could just up and become a Diancie with enough tranining.

Well, if pre-evolutions did happen then I want it to go like this: The Solgaleo/Lunala leaves behind an egg before disappearing. You hatch the egg and gradually raise that pokemon to evolve into the mascots. Of course this means we can't get Solgaleo/Lunala in the story but this is the only way I can see a pre-evolution happening that doesn't end up giving us two Solgaleos/Lunalas.

Or the pre-evolution could be like Phione and don't evolve. Or you get a egg of a Lunala in Sun and a egg of a Solgaleo in Moon which could give you the other mascot that is missing in your version.

I still prefer this didn't happen but I take the above possible options that I mention.

I actually really love the idea of Solgaleo/Lunala leaving behind an egg for us to raise. I've never been one to think of Legendary Pokémon as literal gods, but they nevertheless tend to be beings of undeniable power not just unto themselves, but over some aspect of the world, and I will admit that it always did seem somewhat strange to me that we were able to just squeeze them into a ball and stroll around with them. Not in every case, but certainly with the likes of Groudon/Kyogre and Dialga/Palkia. And with Solgaleo/Lunala, we have a pair of beings that are implied to be closely involved in the region's ongoing ecological status. So I think it would be very fitting if we were to leave the original Solgaleo/Lunala, who have been around for eons, to continue their role in naure, while also receiving an egg for a second one that we can raise and bond with on our own. It has a lovely sense of paying reverence to the originals, while still being recognized as worthy and helpful by them.

By any chance, does anyone know what the faded Pokémon on the Riddler leak could mean? I've heard they are just Pokémon that appeared in the trailers, but I've also heard they could be Alolan forms and/or megas

Really one of the few fanon ideas that makes sense. At the time there were more parallels between the original Eeveelution trio and the Beasts than Jynx, Electabuzz, and Magmar and the Beasts. Would be nice to get an official word on this in a future Johto game.

I can guarantee that they are not Pokémon with Alola Forms. And it doesn't seem as though we are getting any new Mega Evolutions this time.

Why do you feel the need to constantly enforce this same opinion every time the topic is brought up? We get it. You don't like the idea. You don't know any more than you do, and trying to assert this as fact when in reality there truly isn't any evidence behind it yet is pointless for the thread and wasting your own time.
When did he assert it as fact? Or say he knows anymore then anyone else? Your quote just has him stating his opinion.

Just curious, what makes you say that? I've seen the leak but got nothing on it (cameos maybe?)

Unless it is the pseudo of this gen, there's a high chance it could not evolve. I remember in a trailer, it was shown at level 50.

Where were Finneon, Lumineon, Sneasel and Weavile "seen"? I understand the difference between faded and non-faded, but I can't recall where those two lines were hinted at it or seen in features, locations etc.

Also if anyone here visits and posts on the site the Riddler is leaking, please ask for some hints/riddles for future Alolan forms. The list of possibilities is starting to run low :p
I can't see Weavile among those faded and non-faded pokemon. Can someone point me where it is?

And yes I would ask him for hints and stuff, if I knew Chinese that is :p

Well, they can't be indicative of Alola Forms, because the Bulbasaur line is faded, but is crossed out on the list of remaning Alola Form candidates. (Plus, Alola Forms seem to be limited to Gen I Pokémon - indeed, that is implied by the candidates list containing only the first 151 and narrowing it down from there - and yet most of the faded entries are from later generations.)

As for them being indicative of Mega Evolutions, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If the faded Pokémon are ones that get Mega Evolutions, then that includes Venusaur (but not Blastoise), Steelix, and Tyranitar, who all already have Mega Evolutions. Why on Earth would those three, of all things, be given alternative Mega Evolutions?

Besides, even if we were to assume that the faded Pokémon were due to get either Alola Forms or Mega Evolutions, then what do the fully opaque ones represent? Altogether it just makes much more sense if it is what it appears to be - a list of old Pokémon that have appeared in the games in some way.

Zhuge Liang was one of the hints the Chinese riddler gave wasn't it? Because Oranguru being a sage, able to Instruct and having that famous fan seem to indicate he's the strategist. Unless I'm remembering that one picture wrong.

I think you're referring to riddle N3, which has been confirmed by Riddler himself to indeed be Oranguru. To quote Pokesan's explanation:
Wu Yong has a nickname 'Zhi Duo Xing'
Zhi = Knowledge
Duo = Much
Xing = Star
So it's always translated as Resourceful Star.
But in Chinese, Chimp/Orangutan and Star share the same pronunciation 'XING' !!!
Wu Yong = Zhi Duo Xing = Orangutan with much knowledge
It's a riddle based on Chinese language lore
