Someone on /vp/ - New Pokémon on TCG box! - Pokémon - 4chan posted an image of a new Pokemon supposedly on the TCG box. There's no source for the picture so take it with a grain of salt.

Huh, interesting. Looks like a cross between an octoling (did I get that right? I've never played Splatoon before, but I have seen the characters), and a Lileep with its tendrils folded down. Talk about an unintentional reveal, but it looks cool.

On another note, any word on the demo? Has it been released yet in Japan and such? I've been busy for the past few hours, save for a few times, so I don't know if the demo is out yet or not.

IMO , I won't be surprised if this turns out to be Pyukumuku's evolution. The spike patterns look a bit similar and it's "hair" could probably be used as some sort of poisonous shell.

On the other hand, it's colors look nothing like Pyukumuku and it might be unlikely that it's innards will suddenly become unsensitive when evolving (that is if it even gets some sort of evolution).

Unfortunately nothing at the moment. We may need to wait until late tonight.

I hope its a pyukumuku evolution, but besides spikes I don't see any connection. But another water type tho!

I really like it, can't wait to see in-game footage of it.

I've seen some people suggest that it could be a Pyukumuku evolution. Personally I can't really see it. It looks like it's own Pokemon to me.

Probably isn't. What I'm seeing here is a sort of sea anemone, while Pyukumuku is a sea cucumber of sorts, but they could be cournterparts to each other in some sense.

@ThreeT Thank you, that's a big help. So if it hasn't launched by now, guess I'll just check early tomorrow morning and see what goodies it unveiled. But thanks for letting me know, as I wasn't in the mood to sift through several forum pages to find out.

As for the new Mon, it does give a shy appearance. Maybe it is a Wimpod evolution? But it is rather cute, and I do love that little shy look it's giving. Great, a new contender for my team. But I wonder what it is? Guess we'll know by tomorrow with the data mining.

Could be. They could be version exclusives I guess......or it could be like Throh/Sawk or Phantump/Pumpkaboo where one appears more often than the other depending on the version.

For some reason I could see this Pokémon being a Water/Grass type. I don't know what it is about it, but it looks a little plantish to me. I might just be biased because Grass is my favorite type.

No, it can't be a Pyukumuku evolution, Pyukumuku has a slight black body with reddish spikes, this one looks more like a sea cactus cross with a sea anemone.
