Cedric Williams I believe unless I get this wrong voiced Gengar's former trainer.

Hmm...an okay-ish episode I guess. I dunno, it wasn't a terrible episode but a lot of things bothered me from the fact that they didn't even try to use the temperature monitor trick to find Gengar (they even brought it up) and when Ash runs out of the lab the first person he encounters was the former trainer of Gengar of all people - after three years as well, who then proceeds to blab out loud what a terrible person he is. It all just felt too contrived and artificial for my tastes. Ash getting a Gengar does fill the hole in my soul after he didn't take Haunter with him back in Kanto. Can't wait for it to get lots of attention and battles...

I will say though, the fact that Gengar just walks around with this giant grin on its face made me smile. I don't know why, it's surprisingly endearing.
