Even with how far behind Netflix is with releasing the dub, I still don't think that it's worse than Cartoon Network, particularly late era Cartoon Network. At least the episodes are easily accessible on Netflix and being on the site gives it potentially a bigger audience than people waking up at 7AM on Saturday mornings. The way they've been releasing episodes since the first season of Journeys wrapped up has been bad and I assume it's some issue within Netflix given that the dub is airing in Canada, but I just think Cartoon Network's treatment of the dub was worse.Netflix is somehow making Cartoon Network look good.
And I'm talking the late era airings where you had to wake up early just to see new episodes.
I was hoping that they'd start airing Ultimate Journeys next month, but I don't know if Netflix already released their October premiers. Airing two Pokemon series at the same time could be an interesting possibility. It would be ideal to have something featuring the new games around the time Scarlet/Violet are out and that could be a solution. I still think that if they kept to the same release schedule from the first season, people would probably be more okay with Netflix's treatment of the dub. People still might not like the binge release format, but at least it would be consistent and we probably wouldn't be that far behind the Japanese version either. At this rate, we’re going to get the season premiere of Ultimate Journeys around the time Scarlet and Violet come out. That’s horrendous pacing. They should just dump every episode they have so far into one batch, it’s incredibly hard to be interested in the Netflix releases when it’s this far behind. I wonder if the Scarlet and Violet series would be dubbed at the same time, because they need to figure that out. We can’t wait an entire year for the Gen 9 anime to get localized, it is simply ridiculous.
