Sacred Army: Part I

OOC: Shouldn't we wait for the others to get on so they can have a little fun?

Vincent didn't let go of the creature's tongue. He wailed on the monster's teeth with his bat even as blood oozed down his arm.

Ahmal slung his bow over his arm, and started climbing the gorge, water trickled underneath him and he saw a waterfall in the distance. He saw a bat flying out of the waterfall and ducked underneath it. The creature was gone before he could shoot it.

"Strange behaviour for a bat..." he said to Tye and the others.

"We're not climbing the gorge!" Tye called after Ahmal as he continued walking with the group down the trail.

"Shame, because I just saw a bat flying out from a waterfall in broad daylight. I'd say that climbing this is a good idea," he yelled down to Tye.

"Our info says that it is closer to the top" Tye yelled up. "Ahmal, down now please" He called.

OOC: Wow, I missed a lot...

"Shit." Ame muttered. She spread her wings so she could fly closer to help out Vincent. She grabbed Zao Han and made to go up there and stab through the roof off the Behemoth's mouth.

Ahmal jumped down from the gorge onto the path.

"If you insist. Let's go," he said before stalking up the mountain.

Lilith squinted painfully in the bright middle-eastern sun, straining to look up the cliffside for Ahmal's bat. It was evident she had spent too long away from the desert, she was beginning to sunburn.

"We are sure that's not the spot?" she inquired of Tye, "I should hope you have trustworthy sources."

As the group walked through the gorge, two shadowy figures watched them, both hooded. "I hate this sun...but the queen is right...not many would look for vampires out here" You could only see the lower half of his face, which revealed a smirk. The other spoke up, "And the ones that do come through make great meals" He slowly ran his tongue over his fangs.
-------
The behemoth closed it's mouth on Vincent's hand, with a flick of it's head it threw the man at Ame. It let out a roar as it charged forward like a bull toward most of the group.
-------
Destiny used her finesse and acrobatics to dive over the behemoth. Planting a hand on its back, she sprung off into a front flip. She landed on the other side.

As they progressed through the gorge, Lilith tensed suddenly - not altering her pace, she murmured quietly (her accent only thickened by her nerves), "We are being watched."

Ame catches Vincent. "Me thinks we are in need of a plan." She states. She didn't think she had enough fire in her to take out that thing, singe it a little, maybe... Rifle was useless... Zao Han could maybe damage it but it was a sword for crying out loud.

Tad's prepared spells:

  • Mirror Mirror – Enchant any reflective surface for divination.
  • Cat's Eyes – Assume feline vision, vastly improving night sight and detection of magical auras. Side effect(s): photosensitivity and eyeshine.
  • De-spell – Breaks all active enchantments, curses and similar over a small area.
  • Eostre's Electromagnetic Intervention – Summon a rainbow to travel great distances with.
  • Sealing Wish – Issue a short prayer to cure minor injuries.
  • Psychic Suture – Completely seal moderate injuries by thought alone.
  • Rock Block – A stone barrier rises up before the caster for protection.
  • Wall of Weird – Throw up an iridescent curtain of light that disturbs & draws in beholders with strange visions.
  • Fireball (x3) – Conjure & throw a tennis ball sized sphere of flame.
  • Sabre-toothed Strike – Launch a swift and ferocious attack by tooth and claw.
  • Flight of the Air Elementals – Invoke a swarm of slyphs to summon a mighty gale.

--------

Tad roared mightily as he gnawed and slashed at the beast's flanks. In his frenzy, he didn't accept the futility of his actions until-

"AHHHH!" He cried--his right hand claws had snapped clean off! The spell was wearing off. As the monster rushed forwards, Tad used the last of his speed bonus to leap away, retreating towards the tree line again with catlike reflexes. He was about to cast a fireball, but then he remembered Destiny's earlier cry.

How were they supposed to defeat this thing? It was unstoppable! Magic couldn't take it, and it was complete tank, physically speaking. It's only weak point was it's mouth, which was safely protected by it's flailing head and gnashing teeth. They couldn't stop it ...

"Unless ... " Tad muttered, thinking for a moment. Suddenly he shouted, "quick, everyone except Destiny grab hold of me!"

He doubted it could work, but it was worth a shot ...

Destiny rolled forward, getting back to her feet. "I make great bait" she laughed uneasily.
--------
The behemoth finished it's charge and turned around, readying for another.

Ame shrugged. Any plan is as good as any and hey, it was worth a shot. She heeded her teammates advice and grabbed onto him.

With Ame et al attached, Tad screamed, "Eostre's Electromagnetic Intervention!"

As the beast began to charge them, mouth wide, a cascade of colour drenched them, beaming them through the creature's open maw.

Seconds later, they were plunged into darkness as they rematerialised.

OOC: In case you were wondering, Tad did just attempt to teleport them inside the creature, lol.

OOC: And it worked XD

The behemoth had just swallowed the adventurers, it let out a growl as it still felt them alive inside of him. The creature's stomach acid began seeping up toward the pair.
-----
Destiny was baffled by what she just saw. She gasped audibly.

After having a brief WTF-Moment, Ame get's the idea and begins to stab at the stomach lining, trying to aim at whatever counts as vital organs inside this thing.

"Cut quickly people!" Tad said, whipping out his own hunting knife, and starting to slash wildly, hoping to break through or hit something more vital soon. He didn't like the way the walls of whatever organ they had landed in were leaking ...

The behemoth had extremely weak internals, he quickly dropped to the ground in an anti-climatic way and began to die.
