He is probably my favorite gym leader. I like how his depression arc contrasts with Cyrus'. Instead of pushing his friend away, Flint plays a significant role in helping him get better both in the games and anime.

Probably the best developed rival character in the series. I enjoyed his arc and the motivations that they gave him as to why he is the trainer that he is. His battles with Ash were some of the best in series, and his return in Journeys, while minor, was still expertly executed.

Uhhh, he's only one of the best side characters in DP? I love this dude and he's so uniquely hilarious. I'm still disappointed that he never got to come back — not even during all the Sinnoh remake promotion in JN, which honestly would've been the perfect opportunity for a reappearance.
