Season 1 of Ranked Battles has begun in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet's Ranked Battles Season 1 (December 2022 Season) has begun alongside the release of the Version 1.1.0 update. This season, which will run through to January 4th, 2023, at 23:59 UTC, will follow the Series 1 regulation, in which Trainers can use Pokémon in the Paldea Pokédex that are caught, hatched, and obtained as gifts in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet. Legendary and Paradox Pokémon however are not permitted.

Season 1 (December 2022 Season) Rewards
Players will be matched up with other players of similar rank to ensure even competition. Players will need to finish at least one match with a win or loss season to be eligible for rewards at the end of the season. The Season 1 (December 2022 Season) rewards include the following:

  • 100,000 League Points
• Ultra Ball Tier

  • 5000 League Points

How to Start a Ranked Battle
To start a Ranked Battle, follow these steps:

• Launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
• Open the X menu.
• Select Poké Portal.
• Select Battle Stadium.
• Select Ranked Battles.

Season 2 (January 2023 Season) is scheduled to run from January 5th, 2023, at 04:00 UTC to January 31st, 2023, at 23:59 UTC.
