Sounds almost exactly the same as the original Japanese title. So when are the other dub titles coming?

I never understood this title, how is it in anyway a birth? Zygarde litterally craws into Bonnies bag.
I thought maybe they meant birth of the Z season, but the dub title specifically says Zygarde.

Wonder if Punichan will be called Squishy or something else?

Since this is the English dub we're talking about, the title should be "Pokemon XYZ". TPCi made the smart decision of removing the ampersand.

Probably something else. Puni-chan is three syllables, while Squishy is two. For dubbing reasons, the syllables have to stay the same. Unless she calls him "Lil' Squishy" or "Mr. Squishy" or something else equally adorable.

Sir Squishy? Madame Squishy? All Mighty Ruler Squishy?

Japanese name: Eureka (3), English name: Bonnie (2), Japanese name: Satoshi (3), English name: Ash (1, three if last-named, which he rarely is)

Point is, it could be Squishy, or it could not be Squishy. We do not know.

But isn't that why Lorelei was dubbed as Prima, though? Because they needed to keep the syllables the same for dubbing?

Possibly that, or the translators probably didn't know that Lorelei already had a dub name. Therefore, the Bulbapedia page said it "might" have been dubbed Prima for that reason, that doesn't mean it's 100% confirmed true.

I doubt they use "Mr." bc they don't do gender with legendaries and Kalos does way less gender than Unova anyway

Almost every main character's English name show has a different number of syllables than their Japanese one. There is absolutely zero reason why they have to keep the syllable count the same.

I remember seeing an interview years ago with someone who dubbed anime. They said (leaving aside the differences in sentence structure) the main problem with lip syncing was that on the whole, Japanese words end with a vowel sound and English words end with a consonant. The upshot of this is English characters end their sentences with a closed mouth and Japanese characters end them with an open mouth. This is why things such as name length or the number of syllables in said new name get changed. It's not just to give the character more "dub language appropriate" names, it's in order to match up better with the character's mouth movements.

Strange that they changed the title literally 2 weeks before it airs. I think this could have something to do with the games
