Season of Mischief.jpgNiantic has announced the Season of Mischief, featuring the Mischief Pokémon, Hoopa, will be coming to Pokémon GO beginning September 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time and will last to December 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Starting on September 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time, there will be a season-long Special Research story, Misunderstood Mischief, which gives you access to different sets of tasks. This Special Research story will focus on discovering more about Hoopa and the strange occurrences happening throughout the Season. If you complete this Season's Special Research story, you'll gain access to a special event at the end of the Season that might have something to do with Hoopa.

On September 1, 2021, the Special Research will start. From September 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. local time, after completing some tasks, you can encounter Hoopa.

An event will take place on September 5, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, where various strange phenomena will be happening all around the world. Psychic-type, and Dark and Ghost-types Pokémon will be appearing in the wild and attracted to Incense at alternating hours, beginning with the Psychic-type. In the Psychic-type hour, Exeggcute, Jynx, Natu, Girafarig, Spoink, Beldum, Munna, and more will be appearing, while Alolan Rattata, Poochyena, Sableye, Carvanha, Duskull, Drifloon, Purrloin, and more will be appearing in the Dark and Ghost-types hour.

There will be a Collection Challenge available featuring Pokémon attracted to Incense during the event hours. The Collection Challenge will reward Hoopa Candy and the Poké Ball Lift avatar pose. Complete event-exclusive Field Research tasks to earn Rare Candies and a variety of Poké Ball types. You'll earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon. A free bundle containing an Incense will be available in the shop.

Throughout the Season, you can look forward to mischief. What strange occurrences will be happening in Pokémon GO? The next set of events will unlock on September 8 and September 21. Two sets of events will be happening each in October and November 2021.

As the seasons change, different Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild in different areas. In cities, Pokémon such as Shuppet, Trubbish, and Gothita will be appearing, while in far-off forests, Teddiursa, Shelmet, Karrablast, and more will be appearing. The mountains are seeing shifts in Pokémon as well, with Geodude, Rhyhorn, Slugma, and more appearing, while Pokémon such as Krabby, Horsea, and Mantine will be appearing near bodies of water.
