SEEKERS
The world can be an interesting place; people interact with one another without really knowing what goes around. Sometimes the world is a lot more alluring and mysterious, while other times it’s simpler than we believe it to be.
In this world people with abilities are abound, while they are not the majority they are still able to accomplish great feats, so much so that some have even come to be considered heroes who have saved the world countless times whether from other people with abilities or monsters that normal humans can’t even dream of. Of course, this isn’t a story about those people.
Bahia de la Luz, simply known as “Bahia” to its inhabitants, is a small city resting on the edge of the South Continent in the country of Parede. This country is special as it is surrounded by a large barrier that keeps its inhabitants away from all magical creatures and or magical influences, how this barrier came to be is unknown to anyone but because of this Parede as well as all the cities that comprise it have become a peaceful spot run by mostly humans.
However, all of that is about to change. Magical creatures have been crossing the barrier as of late and the people of Parede and Bahia have become confused and concerned about what this entail for them. This is where our story begins.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the ominous sounding intro, but I had to get in character. I have once more come back with an RP set in a kind of familiar world. While the intro for this RP is different to all the previous RPs of this series, this RP is set in a sort of similar universe to the Bounty Hunters RPs and SCB RP that I’ve done with the past (though lore has been changed and some things have been ironed out), I couldn’t really figure out how to explain it in the intro so I’ll just do it here.
This RP is set in a world where magical creatures roam around and a part of the population (around 35%) has special abilities known as Skills. Skills can be divided into three categories:
Life Energy: Relies on the energy from the world and the living things around you and is centered around the power of the body.
Magic: The most mysterious type of skill, using magical energy to perform feats from practically out of nowhere, spells, seals, summoning and other stuff, you name it.
PSI: Psychic powers, to put it simply. This type of Skill relies on the power of the mind, from levitation to mind-reading or even materializing objects, it covers a wide array of feats.
All three of the skills also have similar applications (all three cover elemental abilities that function in different ways) but also have some that are unique to their own particular skill.
Now, unlike previous RPs I’ve made of this type, this one isn’t about a group of people with superpowers going on missions around the world to take out bad guys…per se. The story takes place in the city of Bahia de la Luz, a small beach city in a country where Magical Creatures (and Magic Skill Users) can’t go in through normal means. At least this is how it originally was.
Recently creatures have been popping up and going through the barrier that surrounds the country of Parede and it’s also been said that Magic Users are taking this chance to walk in. The RP will be around a group of people living in Bahia trying to uncover the reason for the barrier weakening while also dealing with the Magical Creatures that pop in, especially since they’re people who have never interacted with them before.

THE WORLD
As stated previously this RP takes place in a world where Magical Creatures and people with abilities exist. At the same time the continents of the world have been shuffled around. There are four main Continents:
Kita: Inspired by North American, Asian and some European Culture, this continent is known for having the most forest life and a wide array of cities and towns that have helped revolutionize the world from technological to economic aspects. Its name comes from the Japanese word for North
Surea: Inspired by South American and some African Cultures, it houses a variety of climates from tall and freezing mountains to hot desolate deserts. It also stands as the continent that’s the most divided, with the different cities and countries in it operating on their own. Its name is based on the Spanish word for South.
Al Gharb: Inspired by Asian, African and Middle Eastern culture. The majority of this continent is desert but is also known for having some of the largest valleys and diverse cultures. It’s also a continent riddled with wars that have been going on for decades or even centuries, particularly against other continents who keep trying to colonize parts of it. Its name comes from the Arabic word for East
West Continent: Inspired by European and North American Culture. The West Continent has the smallest output of Magical Creatures and stands as a hub of entertainment and tourism. From large sprawling cities to beautiful, tourist-friendly landscapes it is the most economically affluent Continent of the world working under one big government that controls it all.
There’s also different religions around the world, the main one being Yatsurism, which focuses on praising the goddess Yatsuri who saved the world from a tyrannical overlord centuries earlier.

3. Do not attempt to overlap a character's abilities.
5. The GM's word is law, and the Moderator's law is even higher. If one of these two tell you to do something, please don't make a fuss.
6. For the powers itself, since the RP takes place in a country inhabited mostly by humans I do want a good balance between normal humans and Skill Users, as thus I’ll only be allowing up to four Skill User character, all first, first serve.

Appearance: Lorenzo has short, well kempt brown hair, to the point where he’ll actively get annoy if it’s messed up due to how long it takes him to set it up. He has slightly olive skin and an athletic, though not particularly muscular, frame and a handsome face. He generally wears more stylish clothing, taking great care of match what he’s going to be wearing for the day and to always look his best in front of others. Of course, this is to hide how much of a slob he can be when he’s on his own.
Personality: Lorenzo’s very calm and down to earth, preferring to not show his true feelings about anything and to always keep his composure. He generally likes to get along with everyone and tries to keep things peaceful, though only because he finds it troublesome to have to deal with conflict. He can be very astute though and is always working to try and figure out how others work. At the same time he can be a little disinterested unless there’s something for him and it’s easy for him to come off as arrogant and snobby to others due to his background.
However, beyond all that he can also be quite rebellious and driven, while he does prefer to stay out of conflict he’s not below fighting for what he wants and usually puts himself above others.

Talents: Lorenzo can speak multiple languages and is great at playing piano, even though he doesn’t particularly like it. He’s also good with different instruments and is an avid soccer player.
Quirks: As an avid book reader Lorenzo tends to overthink everything that happens around him, even if he doesn’t usually show it, its cause of this that he has developed his instinct to try and figure everything out. He also has a habit of leaving a mess anywhere, while he likes to keep his appearance in check that doesn’t exactly carries over to everything else.
Other: Lorenzo dreams of becoming a composer and a writer.
Name: Alejandra (Lexa) Miraflores
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Appearance: Lexa has short black hair with a bob that falls over her forehead. She has dark skin and brown eyes to match. She stands at 5’7 along with a strong frame. Lexa prefers to wear loose clothing; usually wearing tops in different designs, some a bit more unusual than others. This is particularly weird in that she actually gets really easily and is usually seen rubbing at her arms when she gets cold.
Personality: Lexa is curious to a fault with an interest on the supernatural. Ever since she was young she always had an obsession with learning more about Skills and Creatures, what they were and how they worked. Because of this she used to get into a lot of trouble with her parents as she would venture out into the wild or go off on her own to investigate.
She can be kind of a coward however and is severely afraid of the dark, because of this Lexa tends to have her fight or flight instinct on flight and switches gears as soon as she feels that she’s in any direct danger, which, matched with her undying curiosity, is usually a lot later than most people would realize. She’s quiet but not unapproachable and will usually become very talkative and open to people as soon as they show any interest in her.
She can also be stuck in her beliefs however, not letting anyone get the better of her in an argument that she feels she should win.

Ability: Lexa’s ability isn’t anything too complicated. While something that many PSI users would have to spend years of training to accomplish Lexa is able to teleport instantly whenever she feels that, all she needs is to imagine the place she’s going. She also has minor telekinesis abilities but she has trouble controlling them and, like with her teleporting, if she uses it too much she ends up becoming nauseous or even falls unconscious.
Talents: Lexa considers herself a great photographer, she always carries her phone or her dad’s camera with her and usually goes out to take pictures on the weekends. She’s also very knowledgeable in geography. Beyond her obsession with skills and creatures she’s also an avid baseball and tennis fan and tends to put great weight on being able to watch games with her dad, even putting off going out searching for more pictures to take.
Quirks: Lexa can be very absent minded at times and becomes a little hard to deal with once she starts talking about something that interests her, she herself doesn’t notice any of this.
