Shinx to be featured in November 2021's Pokémon GO Community Day

Earlier, Niantic indicated that the featured Pokémon for November's Community Day event would be an Electric-type Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. They have now confirmed the featured Pokémon will be the Flash Pokémon, Shinx.

Shinx will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Trainers may also encounter the Shiny variant of Shinx. When you evolve Luxio into Luxray during, or within two hours after the event, it will learn the Charged Attack Psychic Fangs. Psychic Fangs is a new move in Pokémon GO that allows the user to lower the Defense of opposing Pokémon and inflict supereffective damage on Fighting- and Poison-type Pokémon. In Trainer Battles, it is a 40 Power attack and guaranteed to lower the opposing Pokémon’s Defense. In Gyms and raids, it is 30 Power.

The event will also feature 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period, and Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours. To celebrate the last Community Day of the year before the annual December's, two additional bonuses; 3× Transfer Candy and 4× chance of earning Candy XL when transferring Pokémon, will be active.

A Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, Flash, Spark, and Gleam, will be available for purchase at US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). A special one-time-purchase Community Day Box will also be made available for 1,280 PokéCoins, featuring 50 Ultra Balls, four Incense, four Star Pieces, and an Elite Charged TM.

November's Community Day event will take place on November 21, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
