Re: Shiny Pokemon with the Pokeradar

Yay! Shiny Roselia after a unsuccessful chain of 26 then successful chain of 6!

About Miltank it depends do you have Diamond or Pearl?

I believe that Pearl has an easier time with Miltank... I am pretty new at chaining as well but I have never met a Miltank so I can't really say the chance of one for Diamond. I suppose that after you meet the first one though its like any other chain though just following the tips will help

Sorry if I couldn't help

Hmmm... I think it could take anywhere from 5 mins - 2 hours possibly more possibly less its just luck really
I mean if you looked at my previous posts long chains haven't worked out to well...

true but the time it takes to re-do a 40 chain of miltanks possibly outdoes the time o getting 20 aand re-setting

Oh yes definately I wasn't suggesting that you go for the 40 that could be bad I do reccomend that you just reset at 20 if you feel that it would be more beneficial

Re: Shiny Pokemon with the Pokeradar

I have never succeeded chaining Miltank in my Diamond (well, I failed at Tauros too). I really want one, cuz I think they're quite cool. I wish you luck.

Well, before you start on that, what's it's nature and trait? The nature is always a pretty important, thing. Also, the trait will give you an idea of what it's highest IV is.

Re: Shiny Pokemon with the Pokeradar

I normally just use the IV calculator to get the IVs. I have an Adamant Miltank (non-shiny) that I EVd on Att & HP.

Re: Shiny Pokemon with the Pokeradar

Hey guys -- I've done pretty well capturing shinies but my first venture into EV training isn't turning out so well. Could I get some help from somebody.

I took my best shiny Rhydon (lvl 55, Adamant, IVs 30 in ATT and in DEF) not been in any battles previously and fed it 10 Proteins and 10 Carbos -- I figured that gave it 100 EVs in Attack and Speed respectively. The Rhydon has Pokerus and was holding the Macho Brace. So I went hunting first for Bibarels. I figured the Bibarels 2 EPs it gives in attack were doubled by Pokerus and then doubled again by the macho brace for 8 EPs per battle. I battled 19 Bibarels for 19 x 8 = 152 plus the 100 for the 10 proteins for a total of 252 in attack.
I then battled 19 Raticates and Fearows (2 EPs in Speed) to add to the Carbose for 252 in speed. Finally I battled 2 Onix (1 EP in Def)to finish it off --- I thought. During this training the Rhydon leveled up once to lvl 56. When it leveled up it showed an increas in speed of 12 stat points -- attack was just like 4 or something pretty unimpressive.

But when I go to the Seal shop and speak to the woman in there she says my Rhydon need more work. I went out and battled a few more of each of the above Pokemon and then went back but she still says he needs more work.

Can anybody help this EV noob figure out what went wrong? I tried feeding it a bunch of Rare Candies to lvl 100 thinking that maybe the affect of the EV training wouldn't fully kick in until lvl 100 but that didn't impress the lady any better.

Thanks

Muahaha~!

I've been a long-time lurker here, but have just recently worked up the nerve to try this Shiny hunting method. XD It's so frustrating, but, oddly, also crazy fun. @[email protected] <3
