For signatures? Some people make their own using image manipulation programs like Photoshop, GIMP, and Microsoft Paint; some ask others to do it for them (there are banner makers in The Artisan's Gallery). As for the pictures used in the banners, there are image searches, making your own, screenshots, and asking others for their art.
