What types of pokemon should I have while on a journey in sinnoh?
How do you know how many EV points a pokemon has for a certain stat?
EVs gained vary between Pokemon. A Starly gives 1 Speed EV, while a Staravia gives 2 Speed EV. And if you mean a way to actually see how many EV you've gain, the answer is none, unless you keep the count when you EV train (didnt I say this before? Is there some way to see the EV's you get from training?
Not quite right. You CAN see the effect before you reach lvl100. When you reaches lvl100, you can see the full effect of the EV training.I've read in a thread that you won't be able to see the effects of EV training until after the pokemon reaches lv 100
It's the opposite. And I thought that EV's are only used to be able to feed pokemon vitamins but I'm guessing thats not so..
Not necessarily. It'll be very hard to battle using a newly hatched Pokemon. Leave the Pokemon in the Daycare, use the Fuego Ironworks trick, and you might have a lvl50 Pokemon ready for battle, untrained EV.So...
From the beginning from a pokemon hatching from an egg should EV training start immediately?
If the EVs are maxed, you can level up fainting any Pokemon. After getting all the needed EV's is the pokemon able to level up from any pokemon or would it just mess up the EV training of that pokemon?
Vitamins are used to gain the first 100 EV of that stat. Each vitamins gives 10EV, so feed 10 vitamins of the stat that you want to train, then continue with EV training. And lastly are EV's and vitamins different?
Because I had thought that training for EV's allow more room to use vitamins.
I'm unfamiliar with the Fuego Ironworks trick, could you please explain it.Not necessarily. It'll be very hard to battle using a newly hatched Pokemon. Leave the Pokemon in the Daycare, use the Fuego Ironworks trick, and you might have a lvl50 Pokemon ready for battle, untrained EV.
I just hatched a Riolu with near-perfect stats by sheer dumb luck, and I really want to be able to use it as a Lucario later on, but I'm not really sure how.

Max IV values (if current HP is 11)
HP: 19
Atk: 31
Def: 31
Sp.Atk: 29
Sp.Def: 31
Spd: 31
If her current HP is 12, the max IV spread is the same except that max HP also becomes 31. I'm thinking of turning her into a special sweeper if I end up with any of these stats being maxed out, so can anyone give me a possible moveset (without egg moves, please)?
And I suspected as much when you posted all those stats, saying you recently hatched it. It gave a range from highest possible to lowest possible. Now it has narrowed it down. I seriously find it annoying when people think the highest possbile IV is what they will get especially at level 1 :/

I did mention that those were the maximum IV values given to me my Serebii, and on the RMT thread I also asked for an opinion "if any of those stats maxed out." But anyway, thank you for the links!
hmmm, I think you would be better of waiting for the swarm event in D/P. I had the same problem in ruby, and again catching chimecho. the problem is that some pokemon are just too damn rare in R/S/E.1) How long does it take to find a nosepass in sapphire? I have rock smahed hundreds of times in the granite cave near dewford where they are supposed to be found, and all I get are geodude or nothing at all. Seems more hard to me than getting feebas (which I still don't have)
Should do, items are commonly used just as any other competitive enviroment- even among bots. Just make sure your pokemon is not already holding any items itself.2) On D/P, using covet in battle tower, does the pokemon that covetted the item get to use it during that battle?
Now this is a problem. 'contest' should already be in the vocab list to begin with. try to see if you overlooked it somehow or try using the alphabetical mode.3) I have contest pass in my sapphire game, but I can't get the word "contest" cause I was going to say "Challange contest" to the berry masters wife, but can't as I don;t have "contest" ): why not?
