I assume that's as high as the counter goes. Unless it stops ingame time events, whch I highly doubt since it uses the DS's clock then there should be no problem.

And damn, 1000 hours O_O;

You should get a prize for that

Do Legit Shiny Celebis exist? Or is it impossible to get one?

Theoretically. You could get a Celebi from the Japanese version of Colosseum (or the bonus disk...I forget). And I would THINK it would have the normal odds of being shiny. But they would have to be so rare as to be impossible. Want to say I saw another opportunity to get Celebi somewhere...but I'm sure it wouldn't increase the odds of finding a legit shiny in someone's collection or on the GTS.

It doesn't? I got my Lopunny from the Philipines, or atleast that's what they claimed ;-;

Maybe their Pokemon fanbase isn't big enough for them to care, but I was always under the impression that as long as you had a wireless router, and the software program, you can get onto wifi.

What do the symbols (8 of them I think) mean under the picture of the pokemon while on the status screen? All my pokemon have them greyed out except one which I received on the GTS (I have received others on GTS with all greyed out).

They're just a way of organization for Pokemon. YOu can assign them symbols in the PC. That way, when you deposit them, an easy way to find them is to use the touch screen and select the symbol in which your Pokemon have. It really narrows it down.

Thanks for the help. And there I was thinking that my Froslass was rare and was individually given that symbol unlike any others xD

Do you mean there are no hotspots, or that there is absolutly no connnection? Because as "L" said, I thought you could connect to WiFi as long as you had a router and broadband.

I have a Lopunny I've been using in Cute Contests, and it's won all the way up to Ultra Rank, thanks in no small part to the vast number of hearts it's gotten in the Visual Portion. But now, as I take it into Master Rank Contests, the Visual Appeal hearts are suddenly plummeting -- I'm lucky to get three hearts. I've stuffed it full of Sweet Poffins until it won't eat anymore, and I don't think I'm a TOTAL failure at matching the theme, so...what gives?

The number of visual hearts goes down throughout the ranks. The lower the rank, the easier it is to get hearts. Also, in my D/P Guide it says how well each item goes in each theme (low, medium, high). If you want to get your hearts up even more, use a scarf.

I don't have a scarf yet (stupid guy won't give me one), but what sort of items do well in Cute Contests?

There's another question...how high do you have to get your pokemon's appeal stat before he'll give you a scarf? For that matter, do you have to raise ALL your pokemon's stats to a high level, or just one?

If you mean hold items, pink scarf is the only one that will go well in cute contests. If you mean dress ups, the theme changes each time.

If one of your contest stats is maxed and in your party (might have to be first), he will give you a scarf of that colour.

Other thn what Snorelaxmonster said, why don't you try dressing it up? Red Heats are for the COndition points, and Pink are the dress up points (you should confirm this with the receptionist at the far right counter). Thjough I'm starting to wonder how things like Fantina's Drifloon gets eight of each ._. hacker

+sigh+ All this trouble makes me wonder if getting into the Ribbon Syndicate is really worth it...thank you, L and Snorlaxmonster, for putting up with my Contest n00b-ness.

If you're going through all of that just to get into the ribbon society... you should go to the girl in Sunyshore who will ask you to tell her a story each day. She'll give the first pokemon in your party a ribbon for each day of the week. And it doesn't matter what you tell her either, she'll still give you the ribbon.

But if you are actually trying to win a master rank contest, then go with everyone else's advice. I still however can't for the life of me figure out how to truly max out my pokemon's condition in order to come anywhere near close to winning a master rank contest.

Well, I was actually trying to win after a while, but I eventually remembered that the appeals for moves were the same no matter if they were cute, smart, etc., so I just entered it in a couple normal rank contests in other categories until I had enough to get in. And yeah, I knew about the Sunnyshore girl, and the person in the Sunnyshore market who will give you a ribbon for max EVs, and the footprint guy who gives you a ribbon if your pokemon likes you. T_T Ribbons seem like more trouble than they're worth even so...

Apologies for the double post...

I've got a Shellos with Hidden Power Ice, but a Lonely nature and the Storm Drain ability, so I want to breed for another one. Is there any way for me to pass on HP Ice specifically, and not some other Hidden Power?
