Apologies for the double post...

I've got a Shellos with Hidden Power Ice, but a Lonely nature and the Storm Drain ability, so I want to breed for another one. Is there any way for me to pass on HP Ice specifically, and not some other Hidden Power?

Breeding will only pass on IVs, which do determine Hidden Power, but only one from each Parent is passed on, so it would not be possible to flawlessly pass on Hidden Power. Although, you could try and increase the chances, but there would be no guarantees.

Anyone know how to get the Ranch level to go up in My Pokemon Ranch? I've deposited all I can, it says the Ranch is full, and there's no way I can get any more in.

It takes a day for "construction" to happen. After that, more Pokemon can be stored, and then it will level up and then you'll have to wait another day for construction to be complete, and the cycle continues.

I don't know if anyone has answered this, but is it possible to get Azure Flute, Oak's Letter and the Membership Pass by mixing records?

What's the application of Lucky Egg experience and traded pokemon experience?

Is it:

regular experience > traded .5 experience > Lucky Egg .5 of reg.EXP

OR

regular experience > traded .5 experience > Lucky Egg .5 of reg+traded EXP

?

I thought lucky egg was x2? Anyway, I doubt it really matters considering 2 x 3 x 4 is 24 no matter how you rearrange the numbers.

Its also x1.5 for Trade, not .5. Multiplying by .5 means you are halfing it. It is probably more likely though that it is regular experience x trade x egg.

I don't know where you are getting the +trade EXP.

It's 1.5 for the Lucky Egg in Gen IV (which blows, but that's really what it is). And I know it's 1.5 for Trade; I simply used the .5 to represent the additional half of the original EXP earned, which is represented numerically by the (1). It's 1 + .5 = 1.5 There's no multiplying involved. It's addition.

What I mean does the Lucky Egg's additional EXP come from the half of the original EXP earned W/O accounting for the additoinal .5 a pokemon gets in trade, OR is the additional EXP come from the 1.5 of a traded pokemon's EXP, making the Lucky Egg's 1.5 turn into 1.75 against the original EXP, because it's also taking half of the .5 addition.

Let's do an equation. I have, in theory, a traded Pikachu @ Lucky Egg fighting a wild Goldeen. I faint Goldeen and it gives me 100 EXP.

Is this the equation:

100 + 50 + 50 = 200 EXP
(EXP + 1/2 trade + 1/2 LE = SUM

OR is it:

100 + 50 = 150 / 2 = 75 + 150 = 225
EXP + 1/2 trade; sum divided by 1/2 LE; divided total + original sum = TOTAL

I have been waiting for swarms of: Krabby, Natu, Spinda, Delibird and Dunsparce but have all other pokemon in D/P that swarm. But for some reason, I get more Farfetch'd than any others, anyone know why or have same thing happen?

It's just plain luck. I had Krabby, Natu, and Dunsparce once, chained tehm, and now got shinies. Spinda and Delibird swarmed too, but no luck in chaining them. But Beldum had only swarmed twice in my Diamond since I bought it on June last year.

Wiki berry does it best.

What luck, I'm growing a Wiki plant also to evolve a Feebas. Though it was the only suitable berry I had at the time, so I'm glad it's especially effective on beauty.

I have a Skitty with the 'Normalize' ability. Is there any upside to this? Surely it would remove any possible 'super effective' hits and generally be a disadvantage? It's not as though I want her to be a major part in my teams, but I'm curious.

I'm also waiting for swarms to turn up something I don't have already.

You can hit Ground-types with Electric, and Poison on Steel, but that still ineffective on Steel, so... Yeah, it's not bad, per se, but it's not very good either

Typical of me to think of the disadvantages first. Thanks for the explanation.

Ok, I'm getting very frustated with IVs. I'm trying to breed a bold Blissey with a somewhat decent IV for defense. I have a bold ditto with an everstone on it so it's easier for the bold nature to pass on, and the first time I got a bold Chansey, the defense IV was 1. Then, I repeated the process until I got another bold Chansey (can you believe breeding a bold blissey with a bold ditto can still give you other random natures for the offspring?????) and that bold chansey had defense and sp def IVs of 0.

GAHHHHHHHH. Is there anything else I can do besides just repeating the process until I get a decent chansey?

Thank you!

Its either bad luck, or that your parents have terrible IVs. I'm wondering if you even know why its called IV breeding. Its not just random. Its an attempt to control probability.

Just read this guide and all the other parts of the guides they've linked too. Parts 1-3 are the ones relevant for what you want.

OK, just wondering something. THe first time I played my Sapphire game, the bard in the pokemon center (forget which one) said "want to hear an intresting story" or similar and said how many times you looked at the clock. Also the girl who says "I think that berry is rare" and gives you a berry, gave me wiki berries.

I reset the game a while ago and now the bard just sings a song and the girl gives out figy berries instead of wiki. Is these events randomised ech time you play a new game?

Also, is there anything that can happen in picifidlog town if you say you are either from "yes" or "no" town besides the answers you get?

They're random, though they might be based on something like trainer ID or some such thing. And the only thing Pacifidlog is good for is telling you if Mirage Island is there (unless I'm forgetting something...but I don't really think I am).
