UT is Untouched, meaning it hasn't been battled with so it has no EV's.

And for IV's either be level 1 or 50 (seen guides for both), and take them into a Wi-Fi battle. They will be Level 100 there. You check their stats and enter them in an IV calculator (Serebii and Psypoke both have one) and viola!

Hope it helps.

P.S. If you need a Wi-Fi battle, I think the Battle Center here has a section just for these battles to find stats.

1. Iv is like a ratio of the pokemon status, with max of 31 each status.. How to find out? FIRST, you can go wifi battle with your friend.. A lvl 100 battle will do.. This will list out it's status when the pokemon at that level.. SECOND, rare candy it to about lvl 50.. THIRD, Daycare it till about lvl 50.. After you have found the pokemon status at lvl 50/100.. Use the Serebii Iv calculator to check.. You will need to know their Ev points, unless it's newly bred/caught..

2. UT is untouch.. In other words, you did not "touch" the pokemon at all.. This way, it will not has a single exp point.. Some people also mind about Pokerus and Ribbon.. Not much though..

Ev is Effort Value.. You will notice that when you defeat a pokemon, it will give a particular amount of evs.. Let's say, if you defeat a Bidoof, you gain 1HP ev..

The maximum amount of ev collected for a pokemon is 510.. The maximum amount of ev can be collected in a status is 255, normally people only invest 252 because it's divisible by 4.. Each 4Evs give you an increase of 1 in that status..

You can consider Ev as an extra point on the original status.. :)

I'm breeding a Vaporeon with a Kecleon how long before an egg is made?
First.. It's about luck how long you get it.. Though it's rare it will takes a long time to breed unless both pokemon ID is the same.. Second.. You can get the rate here..

My question is about the Mew event announced last year that is from January 29 - February 14. This was announced for D/P/Pt/HG/SS. Is this stricly for Japanese versions of the game? I'd really like to add Mew to my US Platinum. Please help. Thank you.

Do you mean like hold items? You just rent a new one and the old ones go away.

What is the formula for calculating a pokemons stat on a said level when you know IV, EV, Natures and Base Stat?

Using correct order of operations and integer division (meaning you ignore the remainder in any division problem), for regular stats it is:

(2 * Base + IV + EV / 4) * Level / 100 + 5

This is the value if it's a neutral nature. If it's a boosting nature, multiply this value by 11 and divide by 10. If it's a reducing nature, multiply it by 9 and divide by 10.

If the stat is HP, use this formula:

(2 * Base + IV + EV / 4) * Level / 100 + 10 + Level

I could say to round and change some of these fractions into decimals, but this is true to the way the game calculates it, since it only uses integers the whole way through.
