I'm having trouble with a couple of events that are supposed to happen after the Elite Four are defeated.

Now, I know the game is working properly since the Battle Frontier opened after I beat them the first time. However, going through them again doesn't have them at their "post-Elite Four" status with their Pokemon all about 15 levels higher... they're still the same levels as the first time around.

Also, when attempting to get Arceus with the Azure Flute (totally NOT hacked... ... ... ... ...okay, it was), stepping out onto the Spear Pillar does not activate the flute event. When I attempt to use it, Rowan yells at me... in my head.

Do I need to do something else such as (ugh) beat the Battle Frontier? I thought it'd be a simple task for these events to occur. Thanks!

I think you should catch Heatran and unlock the Battleground.
Also, in order to battle Arceus, you have to capture both Dialga and Palkia.

^And like the concept that Sketch presented, did you hack to get the Flute into your bag, or did you hack to get the green man in the Mart?

In Platinum you need to hack the items to be handed out by the green man or make a Wonder Card with the items to trigger the events; otherwise the Pokémon and the very same events won't show up.

This pokemon Radar is not liking me. > ____>
At ALL.

I am trying to catch a shiny pokemon & i keep telling myself
what NOT to do, so i won't break my chain.

But my chain keeps on braking. The MAX chain i got is 20, the least is 16. I tried again & my chain broke after 16.

What gives? ><
Could anyone please help me?

How exactly is it breaking? Is the wrong Pokémon showing up? Or will the music and the chain just stop after you've battled the right Pokémon? Or does the music and chain just stop whilst you're walking around?

If the wrong Pokémon shows up:
Are you sure the space was four squares perpendicularly from where you activated the radar?
Are you sure the grass shake was teh same kind as all previous in the chain?

If the chain breaks after a battle with the right Pokémon:
Are you sure you're surrounded by grass on all 8 sides?

If the chain just stops whilst walking:
Are you sure you didn't walk too far away from where you were chaining?

When breeding with a Shiny Pokemon like ^the one I posted above what are the odds of it being hatched as a Shiny?
Being a shiny parent doesn't increase the chance of the egg being shiny.. Being foreign parent does though..

Simple questions for verification:

Can Spikes and ToxicSpks be stacked?
(I mean Spikes upon TSpikes upon TSpks or sth like that)

Does Spikes/TSpks work when Stealth rock is active? (And vice-versa)?

Yes. You can have two layers of Toxic Spikes, three of SPikes and Stealth Rock down at once if you want. (Then they switch in Clefable).

Just a note to add onto that: the first layer of Toxic Spikes causes regular Poison Damage (constant every turn), the second layer causes Toxic Damage (increasing every turn).

I'm having another problem related to my last one. In Platinum, I finished up Stark Mountain, caught Heatran, went off and defeated the Elite Four again (with their 65+ Pokemon} and then collected the Adamant and Lustrous Orbs. But now when I go to Celestic Town and check the shrine, nothing happens! I also went to Spear Pillar and Diagla and Palkia aren't there. What the heck did I miss?! D:

Depends which Pokémon they're on and the rest of your team. If you team has a glaring weakness to Scizor, Fire Fang might be better. If Heracross gets you down, then Aerial Ace. Hard to say without more information, though... Is either move getting STAB?

Depends on who is using it, and what you are trying to counter. Both moves can hit certain OU Pokes for Quad Damage. Aerial Ace destroys Heracross and Breloom, while Fire Fang will do very well against Scizor.

I would also look at the Pokemon using the move, and see which one compliments their other moves better coverage wise, or if one move has STAB. Other factors to consider are if the Pokemon using the move has Technician, which would boost Aerial Ace's base power, but not Fire Fang's. Finally, see if the Pokemon has higher base Power STAB moves at its disposal that would achieve similarly good coverage as either Aerial Ace or Fire Fang.

For example, a neutral STAB Seed Bomb has 120 base power, a 2x super effective Fire Fang has 130 base power, and a 2x Super Effective Aerial Ace has 120 base power. In some cases you may be better off with more powerful moves, unless you are trying to counter something that you can't hit with your other moves, or is quad weak to Fire Fang or Aerial Ace.

He Forgot to mention that one layer of Spikes causes 1/4 of maximum health, 2 and 1/3 is taken and 3, Their health is cut to half.
