Drapion is weak to Earthquake, but its Defense is notable. Sp. Defense? Not so much. Any Poke with Earth Power (like Heatran or Nidoking/queen) would really hurt Drapion.

Shift gives you the option to change Pokemon when an opponent is going to bring in a new one. Set doesn't let you switch in between. You can change during the battle.

Shift battle style means that every time you defeat an opponent's pokemon in-game, a message will come up telling you what they're about to send in and asking if you want to switch your pokemon. Set battle style doesn't give this message, and the opponent will just send out their pokemon.

EDIT: Ninja'd :-(

If I want to breed a Snorlax with Curse and Fissure, and I do so using my female Snorlax from XD: Gale of Darkness, will the baby Snorlax/Munchlax have Fissure and Curse as egg moves?

Snorlax can learn Curse and Fissure as egg moves, but only a male Pokémon can pass the moves down.

wouldn't a pokemon with a Defence stat of 1 be OHKO'd by en explosion anyways, since it's so frail.

Not if the attacker have 1 in attack and the defender have 999 HP
Anyway, thats irrelevant to question if the pokemon are KO'd or not.

Yeah, I believe Giratina can be refought. It'll appear in Turnback Cave in front of the portal to the Griseous Orb.

when rng'ing for shinies, IVs, etc., are the values automatically determined when the egg is hatched or recieved, like I can trade an egg that was rng'd to hatch a shiny to another game and still hatch a shiny from it

The Egg is determined when you pick it up. You can trade an egg to another game and it will hatch shiny... but it won't be shiny after that. The egg was created with the ID and SID to make it shiny. When it takes on the other game's ID and SID it will no longer be shiny.

If I were to level up a Charmeleon to lv 100 with an Everstone, would that mean it's unable to evolve further.
