There is a thing called hacking. Using PokeSav, you can alter virtually anything in a Pokemon. So you can have a Level 1 Palkia or a Level 1 Gyarados. And dont ask for underleveled Pokemon, because almost all of them are hacked (although there are some reports of seeing Wild Level 4 Staravias and Beadull/Bibarel).

Hope this helps.

Lucy Anon: An easier way to have done it would have been to save before you talk to Bebe, then soft reset until you got a Female -- the ratio of Males to Females in Eevees is something like 88 to 12, or something astronomical like that. However, though Backlot will tell you when there are Eevee in the garden, the easiest way to get to a Female is to chain them via PokeRadar. It's still gonna take a really long time, though. If you plan on using it for competing, rather than just breeding, it'll take even longer to get a female with a good nature for the evolution you want.

Everytime I come on this forum, I discover something new about this game; this time, that natures actually matter. As it happens, I'm interested in breeding for my own curiosity, not competitive battling. I simply forgot to save before I talked to Bebe, but I agree that would have been far easier!

Anyway, I had Eevee in the Trophy Garden the last time I saved, and I'll go back on later today. The statistics may be seriously weighted towards me running into males, but they don't exclude the possibility of getting a female *eventually*. Knowing that much, I can be patient. It'll also mean I can get a couple of my newcomers into battles, which'll have its own rewards.

Anybody know why people on the GTS are all idiots and offer impossible and unfair trades?
Examples:
lvl 1 Pidgey for lvl 100 Palkia or any other legendary
lvl 1 mudkip for lvl 10 Houndoom (You can't get a Houndoom at lvl 10)

I think one reason GTS traders request unfair pokemon is because they are greedy and think they can get something for nothing.

As for getting outright impossible ones, I believe it's because of the GTS cloning glitch; it has a risk that the pokemon being cloned can be taken in a trade before the clone finishes. Cloners get around this by requesting something that can't be obtained, so the pokemon they're trying to clone can't be lost in a trade.

There is also the trading glitch. Instead of actually having to trade a pokemon that evolves by trading, you can offer it in the GTS, then go search out and complete a normal trade over the GTS. Once you pull back the pokemon you offered, it acts like it was traded and will evolve. To ensure that no one swipes the offered pokemon before they can complete the other trade, most people ask for impossible pokemon.

For example, a peson wants to clone an Articuno and asks for a Sandslash Lvl. 9 and below. But unfortunately, it got traded by some hacker who Pokesav'ed his Sandslash. It is better to ask a Level 100. I myself did this, and I asked for a Level 100 Magikarp >__<

I didn't even know about that. >_>

But the hackers can also Pokesav'ed a lvl100 Magikarp, cant they?

If you use a choice item on Me First/Metronome/Copycat, do you use the move that you ended up using or the original move?

For example, if you have a Togepi with Choice Band and with moves Tackle and Metronome, if you choose Tackle, you can't use Metronome since you are locked on to Tackle. Metronome, you get random effects.

With Me First, the power is determined with your opponent's move's power and you using it with 1.5 power.

Copycat, it depends on what move your opponent/s fire at you, but it will be the same if they are also locked on to Choice Items.

EDIT: At =Dragonite=, why would hackers Pokesav a Level 100 Magikarp? I searched once on GTS and I have found none.

I've got a few questions.

1. Is D/P the current arc in the anime, i.e. the team in volves Hikari, Ash and Brock?
2. Is the movie where Ash uses aura canon to the anime?
3. What episode did Ash turn into a Pikachu?

If I'm understanding your question, you want to know if the choice items lock you into the moves slected, or the attacks produced by them?

I'm not 100% but I believe the items lock you into the move selected, so you would be locked onto Me First, and not for instance, Flamethrower.

2. Is the movie where Ash uses aura canon to the anime?
3. What episode did Ash turn into a Pikachu?

This thread is really for questions related to the games, but I'll give answering these a go.

1. Yes, D/P is the current anime arc.
2. Yes, movie 8 is cannon to the anime, in fact there are a couple episodes in the D/P series where Ash's aura is noted or used.
3. The episode is [bp]Hocus Pokémon[/bp].

I sort of know how to find Lapras in D/P, but can't. How exactly do you find one? I have tried for ages

It's in Victory Road, the area that's only accessible once you get the National Dex. I think you have to Surf.

Prepare for lots of Pokeballs for Lapras.

About the Copycat issue: If the opponent keeps on using Ice Beam, for example, does 50 damage, you would be locked into Copycat but using Ice Beam. For Me First, you would do Me First but has the power of 75 damage. (50*1.5 damage.)

On breeding with a Ditto (hypothetical, I haven't caught one yet): What is the situation with the offspring's gender when a Ditto is bred with different kind of pokemon? Will it only be the same as the non-Ditto parent (since it looks to me like the offspring is just a clone)?

No matter what pokemon you breed it with, a pokemon's gender is always determind according to preset values known as "Personality values". In other words, offspring has a chance of being either male or female. Unless of course, it is genderless or male or female only.

GSC Junkie, thanks for the info.

FYI, Dittos are found by using Pokeradar on Route 218.

Yup. I've kept a list of Pokeradar locations to know what I can find where. I caught two Ditto yesterday. I was expecting it to take ages, but I guess I got lucky. Pokeradar plus Repel seems to be working for me at the moment. I'll see later today if it'll work with getting me a Tyrogue.
