If this anime can live without Dawn, I think a few episodes without Team Rocket won't be that bad.

Dawn=1 series
TRio= 6 series.

Dawn is objectively a lesser part of the show than TRio. People may not know Dawn, but ANYONE who's seen the anime knows TRio.

First they change Hala's ace from Crabrawler to Hariyama, now they give Oliva a Midday Lycanroc instead of Midnight. Hala's change was already annoying, but this is just...ugh. Just what reason do they have to change her Lycanroc's form? It's just so pointless.

Honestly, the episode looks kind of dull. But that might just be because they mainly just showed Ash and co. on the boat and not much of Oliva herself...

Cross, imo shouldn't matter since he's in a movie and not the show and thus won't be seen much compared to Gladion. With Gladion, possibly that could be a reason, but that would make the situation even more annoying to me, since he didn't even need to have the dog in the first place.

Maybe they don't like her outfit in the games, so they changed it to avoid any possible backlash from parents. Or it could be Olivia's outfit in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Ash getting a potential 3rd form of Lycanroc makes a lot of sense, if they're trying to balance the two right now. Gladion already has the Midnight Lycanroc, which is most likely why they changed Olivia's into a Midday Lycanroc.
