Ash's second Grand Trial! A battle against Island Kahuna Olivia!
The Grand Trial Ash desired has finally arrived! How will Rowlet and Rockruff fight against Lycanroc and Probopass's formation attacks?!

Olivia: She possesses a mysterious charm that lets her relate to any Pokémon.

This episode is planned to air Thursday August 3rd!

From the second image.

Smash the iron defense formation!!
Olivia's two Pokémon attack in perfect sync with each other!!

There's no escape if you get surrounded by Lycanroc and Probopass!!
In Olivia's formation, the two Pokémon play the role as attacker and supporter! Ash quickly gets in serious trouble!!
- Probopass's "Stone Edge" blocks him off in every direction!

Lycanroc is the attacker!
It makes use of its speed to make quick movements, dealing damage with "Rock Slide"!

Probopass backs it up!
The "Magnet Bomb" fired by its Mini-Noses hunt down Ash with more and more intensity!

Can Ash pass the Grand Trial using the Rowlet/Rockruff duo?!
Ash, on the other hand, instructs Rowlet to grab Rockruff and rise into the sky. Can he break through the encirclement and manage to counterattack?!

Rowlet: Rowlet can fly, so it's the key to this match! "Leafage" is also super effective against Rock types!
Rockruff: Rockruff fights with "Rock Throw". For some reason it's really restless, but...

How does Ash turn the situation around?!
Whose Z-Move will he use, Rowlet's or Rockruff's? And will he win in the end?!

Tapu Lele watches over the battle... what is its end goal?
It appears the guardian deity of Akala Island, Tapu Lele, watches over Ash as well. Keep watching attentively to find out if they ever meet!

Well Tomioka might be writing this too but Olympia's battle had Iwane doing the animation and here we have... speedlines, badly drawn Pokemon's, an animation director listed who have only produced mediocre episodes.

Everything was in place for there to finally be an enjoyable battle in SM and it looks like they are blowing it on hiring a subpar animation team. I'm still mad.

The "Who's Z-Move will he use?" is the most exciting bit to me. It's likely Ash will be getting Grassium-Z in the previous episode, which means he'll have access to Bloom Doom for Rowlet and Breakneck Blitz for both. This is what I've been waiting for. Ash having to actually make a strategy and choose not only which Pokemon he wants to use a Z-Move in a battle, but also which move he'll use. Normally I'd say it would be most likely that Rowlet would use Bloom Doom since it's super effective against Oliva's rock-types and the newer move, but they might want to focus more on Rockruff because he's going against his evolution and have him go with Breakneck Blitz. Either way, I'm a bit more excited for this episode now.

Looks to be en exciting episode, hope that it results to a rematch in a future episode.

How does Ash turn the situation around?!
Whose Z-Move will he use, Rowlet's or Rockruff's?

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM (are they referring to Bloom Doom by any chance??)

Maybe though it could also me which one will use Breakneck Blitz, though the wording of it suggests its talking about two different Z-Moves, it would make more sense to word it like "Who will use the Z-Move, Rowlet or Rockruff?" to ask who would use the Normalium Z.

Here is a new summary of the episode, which Dephender translated.

Ash is finally going to challenge the Grand Trial of Olivia, Island Kahuna of Akala Island. The Grand Trial is a double battle, but Ash ends up just getting toyed around with by Olivia.

It is strongly mentioned that Olivia is toying around. Ash is definitely going to lose that battle.

Also it is pretty clear that Rowlet will carry Rockruff with him and they will dodge the moves in the air. It is perfectly normal 1,5 kg Pokémon is able to carry 9.2 kg Pokémon just by holding it with its nails.

Remember that Rowlet's feet are extremely strong, stated in its Pokexex entry

2 on 2 and lycanrock sweaps Ash team nice.
its a double or 2 on 2?
Hope for a good 3vs3 rematch with Lycanrock, Nosepas and a third good poke.
Ash really would need a water type with aqua jt or evolve some pokemon or a tactic to slow down oponent.

You forgot that Ash's pikachu knows iron tail.
plus Rowlet flying/grass could evolve already and get a better grass type move.
Hmmm interesting would be to see if Rockruff gets something like a new move to battle its evolution and other rock types?

Here are two new summaries of the episode, which Dephender translated.

Ash has to fight Olivia in a double battle in the Grand Trial. He tries fighting her with Rowlet and Rockruff, but something appears to be off about Rockruff... will Ash be able to clear the Grand Trial?!

Ash has finally become able to challenge the Grand Trial of Olivia, Island Kahuna of Akala Island. The Grand Trial against Olivia is a double battle where each of them will send out two Pokémon each. Ash sends out Rowlet and Rockruff, but something is off about Rockruff, and Ash can't fight like normal. Olivia's Pokémon, on the other hand, drive Rockruff and Rowlet against the wall with skilful combos... Will Ash be able to win against Olivia and clear the Grand Trial?!

Considering the new summary, I would be surprised if Satoshi actually won it in his first try.

And wouldn't ya know it, the classmates muscle their way in for some cameos. -_-

Not necessarily, Steenee wasn't listed in SM033, but it did appear. Popplio just might not speak.
Togedemaru was not listed in episode SM034 too, but she did appear. That means their Pokemon might have no-spoken cameos after all. So what's the point of them being here even though they are not listed in the cast at all?
