Is it possible that the Fairium Z is for Lana? Primarina's a part Fairy type...
Lana is a Water type specialist. She's not going to use anything other than Water-type Z-moves., just like Kiawe won't be using any other types because he's a Fire specialist. Plus they'd both be rendered redundant by the Primarium Z. It'd be like if Ash started using the Rockium Z again despite the Lycanium Z making it obsolete.

Lillie is the one who's a Fairy-type specialist in the games and Twinkle Tackle just suits her and Vulpix. Plus, Lillie's the one whose voice plays when it's inserted into the toy.

Rough translation from AshSerena:
The reason why Gladio came to Poni Island was because of the power of Tapu Fini that has power to call the spirit who are not in this world anymore
And Mao who heard of it...

Mallow and Gladion? :confused_emoji:
That-that could be funny. I don't think I've ever seen you two characters together (by yourselves) before...

Sounds like they're going there with Mohn (and Mallow's mom?) too...

The first episode focused only on Ash, and the next one focuses only on Kiawe. The last episode was the only double focus episode.

I beg to differ. They've been spreading the focus around ever episode this arc.

SM104: Ash and Hapu
SM105: Ash, Lillie, and maybe Gladion, with a little focus on Hapu
SM106: Sophocles and Lana
SM107: Kiawe and apparently Hapu
SM108: Apparently Mallow and Gladion

Okay. I admit. Well, at least Mallow is getting a focus episode. I wonder if she'll see the Shaymin.

I wonder what relative Mallow has lost...

Her mom hasn't been seen or mentioned at all. Ash and Lillie have mothers but missing fathers, Kiawe, Sophocles, and Lana have both of their parents, but only Mallow's dad has been seen.

If she has a dead relative, it's probably her mother.

I assumed as much.

Gotta wonder how the dub will handle all this stuff about death and ghosts...

Inb4 Mao's mother has been reincarnated as Shaymin.

Probably fairly well, like with Grandpa Stoutland, all those Minior, Luxray in M20, Snubbull in M21 (damn!) and to a lesser extent Origins and Generations.

If it was 4Kids we'd be in a lot more trouble, but TPCI is a little more chill about it.

We have a translated summary from Dephender

The reason Gladio came to Poni Island was because of Kapu-Rehire's mysterious power that's said to let you meet people that no longer are with us. And when Mao hears this, she...

Interesting... My bet is also on Mallow's mother, as I said here I've had a headcanon theory about her for a while now. Alternatively, it could be Mallow's grandfather who was mentioned in SM018. But Mallow's mother seems more plausible in my mind, even if there hasn't been a single mention or hint of her in the entire series.

There is also very strong potential for this episode to be the rumoured "tear-inducing episode".

But in those cases, the word "death" was never mentioned out loud. Here, it is mentioned all the time.

I wonder what kind of role Shaymin will have...

I guess the writers think that Tapu Fini's actual powers aren't interesting enough.

It does have a connection to the names and descriptions of their various ruins.

In order:

Ruins of Life (Tapu Lele): The ruins that enshrine Tapu Lele, one of the land spirits. It is said that life is born here.
Ruins of Abundance (Tapu Bulu): The ruins that enshrine Tapu Bulu, one of the land spirits. It is said that life grows here.
Ruins of Conflict (Tapu Koko): The ruins that enshrine Tapu Koko, one of the land spirits. It is said that life is tested here.
Ruins of Hope (Tapu Fini): The ruins that enshrine Tapu Fini, one of the land spirits. It is said that life ends its journey here.

And while the others use similar worlds in both English and Japanese, Tapu Fini's are called Ruins of the Other Side in Japanese, furthering the connection to afterlife. So Tapu Fini has always been meant to be some kind of death god or guardian of the afterlife.

Kapu-Rehire, the guardian deity of the Ruins of Nirvana, apparently has the power to let others meet people that are no longer with us. This power causes something strange to happen to Mao and the others.
Top blurb: What comes to Mao's mind when she hears of Kapu-Tetefu's power......?
Bottom blurb: Nyabby looks really happy to meet the Mooland it used to be friends with!!

From Dephender.

(And on a side note, we can remove the "disappeared" stuff from the wiki, this is 100% confirmation that Stoutland is dead)
