It's a bit of a quip in my writing circle that trying to predict Sun and Moon is an exercise in futility, as it is utterly unpredictable and so different from most Pokemon series and marches to the beat of its own drum and song.

He's less of a loser than his Grunts, but still a loser.

Well, no duh. That's why people love him! But Sun & Moon has the tendency of taking an aspect of a character and going to the extreme with it. And I guess what @SammyW27 was saying is that they shouldn't go overboard with that aspect (like they've done with the Skull trio), nor should they turn it into Guzma's only character trait.

The Guzma vs Kukui cutscene was my favourite moment in the whole of the game, so I'm thrilled they're running with their rivalry in the anime too. The way the summary is written makes me hope part of the episode at least will be from our boy'z POV <3

Meh, Team Skull's alright in the anime (the chubby one is adorable ) but they're not nearly as funny as they were in the game. Also aside from the famous "Y'all are stupid!" line, I was never a fan of Guzma.

It took over 100 episodes for Mallow to mention her mother, so it's no real surprise that Kukui's never brought up his childhood friend

I really hope we get to see flashbacks of 10-year old Kukui and Guzma on their Island Challenge
