I saw in a video that TheOneIntegral made that this was a Gen. VII exclusive method & is compatible method for Pokémon that are battled in SOS battles. Keep knocking out the ones that call the allies, then later those ones will call an ally. Each time an ally gets called into battle, the 1/4096 chance for shinies will get bigger. How will YOU use it? Let me find out.

This sounds like a pretty cool shiny method. Wouldn't mind giving it a go myself.

For those that can't/don't want to watch the video, here's how it works:

After beating the first trial, wild Pokémon have the ability to call allies in battle. This is more likely to happen if the Pokémon has low HP and if you use an Adrenaline Orb in battle. Beating the ally will make the wild Pokémon call another one (this can go on indefinitely), and each ally has a higher chance of being shiny (and of having high IV's and the Hidden Ability). So what you need to do is:
  1. What you need: a Pokémon with False Swipe, and a Adrenaline Orb.
  2. Find a wild Pokémon. This can be anywhere; in grass, in caves, while fishing, etc. Anywhere, with almost any Pokémon (some can't call for help it seems).
  3. Lower its health (use False Swipe).
  4. Use an Adrenaline Orb. You only need to use one to making calling allies happen more often for the rest of the battle.
  5. Keep beating the called allies until you find a shiny!
(Important to note: when you beat the original wild Pokémon, its ally will start calling new allies instead. Also, allies will not be called if the original mon is affected by a status condition.)

Lowering the wild Pokémon's HP and using an Adrenaline Orb raises the chance of the Pokémon calling a new ally at the end of each turn by ~75%. It takes a chain of about a 100 to find a shiny.

Now I love this, cause it's easier than finding shinies with the Poké Radar, Dexnav and Hordes in a lot of ways.
  • It's a lot less complicated and takes less effort and concentration than chaining with the Poké Radar or Dexnav. No more looking which grass patch shakes the most and no more sneaking.
  • It can be used anywhere. The Poké Radar could only be used in grass and Dexnav chaining was a living hell in caves and water.
  • It can be used with almost any Pokémon in the wild.
  • No more stacking on Repels and having to use them continually. You only need to buy Adrenaline Orbs, which only cost 300P a piece and you only need to use one per battle, so only one per shiny.
  • You only have to start one battle. With the Poké Radar, Dexnav and Hordes you had to start new battles over and over again until you found a shiny. Now you can just stay in the same battle.
  • When you find a shiny, it also has a high chance of having high IV's and the Hidden Ability.
Bless you GameFreak.

Question: Is Adrenaline Orb compulsory? Will the wild Pokemon call allies even if no Adrenaline Orb used?
