Square-Enix using Pokemon IP in e-mail app for Japanese cell phones

....great, now we'll have to speculate on Square-Enix doing a Pokémon RPG for the Revolution in the next Bulbacast. ^^;;
Might be nice to see a change on the stadium/colloseum style games we've seen on consoles so far.

Whoa, Square-Enix is making Pokemon? Couldn't said better myself.

Yay!!

This is awesome news!!!! ^_^

And maybe now, the game community will have more respect for Pokemon......

So Squaresoft jusgt creating a Mobile Phone Application for messages etc. means that you think they may do a Rev. RPG? Wow, love your logic

Love the way you have nothing better to do than criticize everything and everyone when they show some optimism.

Hopefully there will be such an RPG, first because it'd be cool, and second to shut your claptrap a bit.

Is it LIKELY that there will be such an RPG? Hell, no. But with Squeenix now officialy working with the Pokémon IP for the first time...

Well, as I said elsewhere - a SQueenix pokémnon RPG just went from "unrealistic stupid daydream" to "unlikely, but a serious possibility." Or, in other words, something you would put on your wish list and forget about, to something that might be worth speculating about a little bit.

Didn't people from Square-Enix contribute to Genius Sonority?

Square-Enix members were brought on board for the storywriting for XD.

I don't think this really holds out much evidence for an actual GAME coming from Square-Enix for Pokemon though. Not any time soon at least. For one thing, all the sprites are from Emerald - it'd be possible to knock up what Square-Enix have in a matter of days by any capable fan. The only difference is Square-Enix being allowed to use the IP for it - and the reason for that is more than likely simply because of their support for Mobile design. They are, afterall, the biggest mainstream company with a full Mobile devotion.

Hey, according to Big Green (Serebii), it looks like this will be coming to the U.s. (and be shown at E3)
