Star Wars: The Clone Wars

It is the eve of war, the entire galaxy stands poised to erupt into a fiery tempest of violence and destruction. The Galactic Republic has been slowly but surely declining for centuries now. Massive commerce guilds now wield more power than the official military of the Republic. The inefficiency of the senate is at an all time high and the political nightmare caused by the Naboo incident has done little to sooth the people of the galaxy. Many of them feel that the republic is corrupt, bloated and thoroughly useless. Until recently, these people did not pose a threat to the august governing body of the galaxy. Now, however, with the Separatist Crisis in full swing, thousands upon thousands of planets and peoples stand ready to break away from the Republic if something is not done.

Things are coming to a head for the galaxy, with the disappearance of the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker as well as the prominent Senator they were guarding, the public of the galaxy is waiting with bated breath-with thousands of unanswered questions on their minds. Did the two Jedi defect to the Separatist cause? Were they kidnapped? Will the Republic be able to stand against the might of the Separatist worlds? Unbeknownst the public, the Commerce Guilds and many important separatist figures have all traveled to Geonosis to form a new governing body, the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The first act of this new body however, seemed to be the execution of three prisoners. Two Jedi and one senator.

These upcoming executions are an act of war and the commerce guilds and peoples that make up the fledgling Confederacy know it. To fight in the upcoming battles against the Republic, they have formed an elite command force, known as the Confederate Command Commission to lead their forces into battle. This force is made up of hardened commanders from the commerce guild’s private armies and the armed forces of separatist planets. The Confederacy’s Council hopes to decapitate the Republic militarily and force a settlement.

The Republic meanwhile, is not entirely unaware of the separatist’s intentions, and in accordance with the recently passed Military Creation Act, the senate has selected commander from around the galaxy to form a council to command the military forces of the Republic. This council, known as the Republic Defense Committee has two objectives, to defend the Galactic Republic from separatist aggression and if it becomes necessary, to strike back against the separatists by any means possible. At least, it was originally, the news of the hostages held by the Confederacy and the formation of a clone army to fight for the Republic have recently reached the Committee’s ears..

However, in the shadows, the Sith plot to use both sides and both command organizations as pawns in a greater galactic scheme. However, it remains to be seen if the formation of these two command groups will disrupt this plan. Regardless, the conflict that history will call “The Clone Wars” is about to begin in earnest. Countless soldiers, fleets and commanders are about to clash in one of the bloodiest wars in galactic history. Only one questions remains.

Which side will you take?

-Game play-

This RP is going to focus on the commanders that lead both factions’ war efforts, I’ve noticed that a lot of RP’s tend to focus on the Jedi and their efforts in the war, I wanted to take this RP in a different direction-to explore a different side of the Clone Wars. Whilst the Jedi and Sith fight in their duels and maneuver to further their own plans, the commanders on both sides were had to fight on a thousand different battle-fields on a thousand different planets. In this RP, you will play as one of these commanders-which will be part of an overlapping organization planning out the war effort for their respective factions. Information on these organizations can be found below the games rules.

For the most part, the commanders will be the focus of this RP, but you can play as a Jedi or a Dark Jedi, but only if you are able to answer five Star Wars trivia questions that I will ask you correctly, if you’re interested in playing a Jedi or Dark Jedi, there is a profile template provided below. I am capping the Jedi/Dark Jedi numbers at a four however. Anymore than that and this RP will lose it’s focus.

-Rules-

1. Treat your fellow RPers with respect-don’t flame them, berate them, if they do something wrong, PM me about it and I’ll settle it.
2. No G-modding. Your character is mortal, if you do something stupid, you will suffer the consequences. There’s a war on, and people die in wars. If you’re not careful, your character could be one of them.
3. Your enemies are not idiots, even when you’re fighting NPC’s, they will respond intelligently to your actions. They won’t sit around and wait to be destroyed.
4. Both sides within this conflict start out with the weapons, ships and soldiers that they held at the start of the Clone Wars. New technology will become available as the war progresses.
5. Overall, use common sense and you should be fine. However, as GM I reserve the right to add or remove rules at my discretion.

-Factions-

There are two factions within this RP-the Confederate Command Commission, a group of commanders fighting on the side of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and the Republic Defense Committee, a group of commanders fighting on the side of the Galactic Republic. Further information is found below-a quick rundown on how each command organization works and what it was formed from. Occasionally, all faction members will gather at a specific location to plan out a course of action or a campaign within the war. These meetings can be called by anyone within the faction, with the GM’s permission at least. There will be an announcement within the RP topic when a meeting is called.

Attending these meetings is mandatory-unless a member of the faction is under attack or currently taking part in an attack. Then they will not have to attend. These meetings will be listed below-in the “faction events” section of the bios.

Republic Defense Committee

The Republic Defense Committee, created as a part of the Military Creation Act-it is made up of commanders from across the Republic. Most of the commanders within the Committee were appointed to their position by the senators of their respective planets; as a result, their experience as military leaders varies wildly. Some of them are green and inexperienced, some of them only have experience in putting down the occasional planetary revolt, but others have a great wealth of experience as commanders. How this organizations will match up to its counterpart in the Confederacy is unclear.

CURRENT RDC EVENT: All members of the Republic Defense Committee are currently en route to Kamino-to pick up a clone army with which to strike at the planet of Geonosis. They are currently discussing how they will go about the attack-and what do afterwards.

Confederate Command Commission

Formed by the CIS Council, the Confederate Command Commission is made up of commanders hailing from the private armies from the mega corporations that have recently thrown their lot in with the separatist cause, many of their number also hail from planets with separatist sympathies-experience levels within the organization varies. Commanders from the corporations are very experienced…and very well paid, often being able to maintain hundreds of different estates on many different planets. Commanders from planets that are not aligned with the corporations, but have nonetheless thrown in with the Confederacy are somewhat less experienced, having only had to deal with the occasional bout of civil unrest.

CURRENT CCC EVENT: All Confederate Command Commission members have gathered at Geonosis, one of the many Geonosian hives is serving as the meeting place. Here, they are discussing how best to win the upcoming war with the Republic.

Profile Sample
Name: Cero Shavdon

Age: Thirty-five

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Home Planet: Vendaxa

Faction: Confederate Command Commission

Command Experience: Cero was present at the battle of Naboo-where he managed to avoid capture by the Naboo authorities after the Trade Federations defeat for quite some time, he was in command of one of the numerous droid garrisons that had been installed within the cities of that planet.
Weapons: When expecting to fight, Cero wields a blaster rifle; otherwise, he has a blaster pistol holstered at his side.

Appearance: Cero looks old for his age, his black hair it contrasted by several patches of gray hair that are asserting themselves. His eyes are colored a light blue and he has a somewhat dark skin complexion. He does however; keep himself in reasonably good physical condition…if only because it is expected of him as a soldier. He typically wears the standard Trade Federation Defense Force uniform-which is to say, a grey uniform with a matching officers cap. He has several scar’s across his face and body from his experiences in the wilds of Naboo-he doesn’t take any pains to keep them hidden, instead, he wears them as badge of sorts.

Personality: Cero is very matter of fact, he can be blunt and unpleasant at times, but in actuality, he is merely honest. If he likes you, he’ll tell you so, if he hates your ever-living guts, he’ll tell you so. He is a very straight-forward person and never shrinks away from telling the truth, even if it is unpleasant for the other party involved in the conversation.

History: Cero Shavdon grew up in a colony on the planet of Vendaxa-a wild and dangerous planet. But he always aspired to more-when the colonies small school was no longer sufficient for his needs, he worked for several years to gain enough money to attend an off planet military university. When he finally reached this university, he threw himself into his classes; sometimes he worked through the night to get a report *just right*. Predictably, he graduated fourth in his class. From here, he found work as a garrison commander on a minor outer rim world.

But, when he saved the life of a visiting Trade Federation representative, the trade conglomerate made him an offer he couldn’t resist. He went to work for the Trade Federation as an advisor for its newly created Droid Army. With the massive paycheck he received for his services, he paid for several estates on his home-world and prominent Trade Federation worlds. Soon enough however, he was called into actual service-he was to oversee the droid occupation of one of the cities on the planet of Naboo. When the droid armies of the Federation were defeated on that world, Cero was forced to flee into the wilderness. There he stayed for several months-before being captured and sent to an off planet prison. Where he was promptly bailed out by the his employers within the Trade Federation.

Now, he stands to serve the Federation on the front lines once more, this time in a much larger conflict.

YAYZ FIRST!

Name: Wyrm Drak

Age: 24

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Home Planet: Kamino

Faction: Galactic Defense Commitee

Command Experience: Wyrm Drak has fought in many battle simulations before, and did very well in them. He also has extensive knowledge of the Droid Army they are up against.

Weapons: Standard issue blaster rifle. Two pistols. (Like Rex from the series :-D)

Appearance: Wyrm Drak has short, spiky dark brown hair, and brown eyes. He has a scar going through his eye. (http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/File:TychusFindlay_SC2_Head2.jpg)

Personality: Wyrm is a clone, so he acts like Jango Fett. (duh :p) He obeys all commands from his superiors, and of course, the Jedi and the Council, as they are the most lesser beings in all the Republic.
(Clones<Jedi<Council<Senate) <---- See??

History: Wyrm was born on Kamino, as a clone. He went through the extensive training process, and eventually came to serve as a commander. He fought in many battles, and was a proud, strong warrior, and eventually he was promoted to serve as a Commander, and now fights with the strong, such as Commander Cody.

This is the start of the clone wars-there haven't been any battles for the clones to fight in yet. However, other then that..

Accepted. Just edit out the parts about the battles-maybe replace it with simulations or somesuch. He is a Clone Commander after all, he would get extensive training in the art of command-and presumeably, have lead forces in thousands of combat simulations.

And if he's a clone, his homeplanet would be Kamino, not Coruscant. I'm guessing that's just an oversight.

Name: Commander Tanya Humarl

Age: 45

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Home Planet: Naboo

Faction: Republic Defense Committee

Command Experience: She served in the military as Special-Ops soldier, she has also personally commanded multiple fleets of soldiers, and specializes in tank/ground warfare.

Weapons: SE-14C blaster pistol, with scope attachment.

Appearance: Tanya has dark, matted hair, held together in a tight bun on the top of her head. She has a small frame, around 5'5, and is very thin. Dark, solemn brown eyes, yet reflects her experience as a leader, her face is always shown with stoic expression and is battle-hardened from her days as a Special-Ops soldier.

Personality: Tanya's personality is quiet, collected and stands with an air of arrogance. She is very studious in her ways of collecting information on the battlefield, and in turn, forms strategies on the fly. She tends to be a very stubborn with others, yet with good intentions, considering she has directed multiple legions of soldiers in which she was victorious.

History: Tanya's father was a well known diplomat throughout the Coruscant Sector. Her mother had died during child birth, which had affected Tanya greatly as a child. Her father was always busy with his politics, thus making Tanya very lonely as a child.

Her career began when a new military base was established on Coruscant, she immediately registered herself as a lowly Assault troop, but immediately advanced through the ranks, considering her magnificent commanding abilities. She would later command a small group of special-ops troops to destroy small pirate bases, as well as collecting intel on enemies.

At the age of 35, she was promoted to Commander and oversaw her own personal tank unit. She led assaults on small uprisings with warlords throughout multiple sectors.

Accepted and if I might say so, a very interesting character.

I'll post my sign up soon, but wouldn't it be really easy for someone to just look up the quiz questions on Wookiepedia?

I work on the honor system. :p

That and I've reviewed the relevant articles; I think I should be able to tell.

Name: Kal Skirata
Age: Unknown/Classified
Species: Human
Home Planet: Kuat
Faction: RDC
Command experience: Is a training Sergeant on Kamino, and trained the RC squads.
Weapons: DC-19 stealth rifle, DC-17 hand blaster
Appearance: Grey hair, well built body, Mandalorian armor, minus the helmet. pale-ish skin.

Peronality: Will do anything to keep his men safe, including putting himself in the line of fire. He is a stoic leader, but can be emotional at times. He is a good man though, and helps hi friends and comrades. He is not so good at politics, but tries his best to keep things civil.

History: (Copied off wookieepedia)

Falin Mattran was born on the planet of Kuat, the son of a Kuat Drive Yards engineer and his wife. When Mattran was around 6 years old, his family had moved to Surcaris because his father was contracted to do some engineering on the KDY warships that were stationed there. War had broken out on Surcaris shorty after the Mattran family had arrived on the planet, and Falin was orphaned when both of his parents were killed. The only thing he had salvaged from his father's body was a three-sided knife, and because he was alone after his parents died, he trained himself how to use it, eventually getting to the point where he could hit any target he threw the knife at.

After surviving for a year in the war-torn rubble of Surcaris on his own, Mattran was discovered by a Mandalorian named Munin Skirata, who he had promptly attacked with his father's knife. Munin was amused by the attack rather than angry, and decided to adopt Mattran into his Mandalorian clan, renaming him "Kal Skirata"—with "Kal" meaning "Blade" in Mando'a[1]—and took it upon himself to train young Kal.

Skirata later married a non-Mandalorian, Ilippi, with whom he had three children: Tor, Ijaat, and Ruusaan. However, she had trouble dealing with his long absences and refused to allow him to take their eight-year-old sons into battle with him, per Mandalorian tradition. Ilippi eventually left him, taking with her all three children. Early in his career as a mercenary, his ankle was shattered by a Verpine shatter gun due to his failure to follow an order. The injury would later become a grievance for most of his career, only being healed after his adopted clone sons forced him to undergo surgery.

When Jango Fett was recruiting the Cuy'val Dar, Kal was recruited due to fellow Cuy'val Dar, Walon Vau's recommendation. He and Jango went back a long way, and had an up and down relationship. Kal was a very aggressive Mandalorian traditionalist and was devoted to the welfare of his troops.

When Ilippi died, Kal's sons tried to find him, to let him know. However, because of the extreme secrecy surrounding the existence of the clone army, he could not contact them and after they couldn't find him to come to their mother's funeral, they parentally divorced him. This was something that was considered a great disgrace among Mandalorians, but Kal felt that it was worth it, for the safety of the clones he had now become quite attached to

Eight years before the Battle of Geonosis, Kal was brought to Kamino when he answered Jango Fett's call for trainers for the clones, joining the ranks of the Cuy'val Dar—literally "Those Who No Longer Exist" in the Mandalorian tongue. He was disgusted with the Kaminoans' arrogance and indifferent attitude toward the "reconditioning" (a euphemism that often meant killing) of clone children who didn't pass quality control standards.

Kal first met the Nulls when the Kaminoan technicians considered them failures that would be destroyed. Null-11 attempted to defend himself and his brothers by stealing the hold out blaster Kal kept within his boot, aiming at Kaminoan, Orun Wa. Though Kal cared little for the fate of the Kaminoan scientist, he managed to talk Null-11 down for fear of repercussions toward the boy.

Kal became sympathetic to the clones, and took the Nulls under his wing, giving them names and training them personally, instilling the heritage and values of the Mandalorians in them. The Nulls, in return, were very fond of Kal, and would only answer to or accept orders from him alone. He also formed alliances and contacts with many other Cuy'val Dar while there, forming a "closer" relationship with Walon Vau, Wad'e Tay'haai, Mij Gilamar, Rav Bralor, Dred Priest, and many other Mandalorians.

Accepted.

A quick note, minor canon characters like Kal, are acceptable. But major canon characters will be GM-controlled NPCs when they are encountered. Exceptions however, might be made.

Can my Separatist Droid Commander have a lightsaber with him?

Okay, and now for the first Separatist Commander!

Name: Symbot Comman

Age: 44 Years old. (Yeah, ancient droid, but powerful)

Species: Assassin Droid

Gender: Male

Home Planet: Manufactured on Dantooine

Faction: Confederate Command Commission

Command Experience: He fought in 3 Secret wars between crime Lords, and usually only leads a small group but can lead dozens of Armies.

Weapons: A solid black Lightsaber, a Republic Commando ChainGun, dozens of Thermal Detonators, 2 Blaster Pistols, and a Grenade Launcher.

Appearance:
250px-IG-86AssassinDroid_CN.png

Personality: Symbot rarely speaks, but is fluent in pretty much every single known language. He is completely devoted to his cause, and will sacrifice himself it is for the good of the mission.

History: With his old age, he has experienced many secret wars. He was an original prototype, this prototype didn't come into mass production until much later, but one day Symbot broke out of his Design Plant, along the way he stole several weapons, including a Droideka's shield, a Grenade Launcher, and a specially made Republic Commando Chain Gun. Symbot made his life as a mercenary but was always looking for something better than just that. A few years before the Clone Wars, Symbot was deactivated during a duel against a Dark Jedi. He wasn't seen or heard from for 3 years. After that, he was put back together and gained more advanced weapons, he broke away from where he was being reconstructed and made his way to the Black Market. He met someone named Darth Tyranus, he was told about the Separatist cause, and Symbot joined. He was given instruction with a Lightsaber by Dooku himself and became so good with it, it became his main weapon. He was then appointed to the Confederate Command Commission and is ready for war.

Accepted.

It looks alright, but keep in mind, in lightsaber combat, he won't be able to match most Jedi-they've got the force and that allows for alot of OMGHAX manuvers on their part and he probably won't be able to carry all of those weapons at once.

Retractable weapons. But, yes I'm aware he can't woop any Master Jedi, but he could o Padawans, and MAYBE a few Knights.

His Chaingun and Saber are always with him though, his pistols are just a his side.

Alright. So long as you play it reasonably, I have no issue with this.

can you be just a clone? Cause I was thinking of being a jedi or commander...and a clone(or droid, on that matter).

can you be just a clone? Cause I was thinking of being a jedi or commander...and a clone(or droid, on that matter).
Clones are acceptable. Droids, provided they aren't one of the rank file command droids, are also acceptable.

Jedi are acceptable, but only if you PM me and take a quiz to test your SW knowledge.

Speaking of which, I've recently redesigned that test-the first verison was far to difficult, and if anyone wishes to retake it, they may.

Name: Zaar. No one knows of his last name.
Age: 24
Species: Human, although he's normally referred to something along the lines of a "demonic beast", due to his unrelentingly sadistic behavior.
Home Planet: Dagobah, if that would be acceptable. If not, then Tatooine.
Faction: Confederate Command Commission.
Lightsaber: Dual red lightsabers with a slight curve to them.
Force Level: From 1-10, I'd have to give him about an 8. He's able to do to whole Sith spiel, Force Choking, Force Lightning, and all of that fun stuff.

Appearance: Is as more skinny than a twig on a dead tree, and more pale than the moon watching over said tree. Has blood-red eyes, normally filled with twisted and sadistic glee, the left of which having a gruesome scar that is covered by his unkempt raven-dark hair. Wears a pitch-black robe with a matching hood, with black gloves and leather boots.

Personality: Zaar's personality is twofold. Nomrally, he's cold, remorseless, and thinks that everyone, with no exceptions, is inherently underneath him, and treats them as such. His favorite past-time is causing pain, whether physical or emotional, to others. However, when his bloodlust gets the better of him, he can grow insane faster than you could believe.

History: People don't know much about Zaar. There are so many rumors about him, that no one has it right. The truth is that he was born in Dagobah, and his parents left him in his teenage years to fend off the wild beasts there. He proved himself to be very resourceful, forging weaponry out of the things there to drive the creatures away. Eventually, he was approached by a strange man, who in truth was Count Dooku. Dooku proposed to train him in the ways of the Sith. His hatred was left to fester during his life in Dagobah prior to the meeting, so he immediately accepted.

You passed the quiz-so accepted.

You'll be Dooku's represenative in the CCC if that's alright.
